To put it together, just align the two halves and screw them together by hand, using light pressure. There’s no need to overtighten—just a snug fit will keep it secure for pups to enjoy. To open it, unscrew the halves by hand. If it ever feels stuck, gently twist back and forth rather than using force, to avoid any damage.

Not at all as pictured

My 10-month-old German Shepherd did not find this toy interesting at all. When I received this product from Chewy, I immediately opened it and inserted the refills

My 10-month-old German Shepherd did not find this toy interesting at all. When I received this product from Chewy, I immediately opened it and inserted the refills into the Pupsicle. I noticed that the refill was about 1 inch below the opening, so I checked the refill bags to make sure I had ordered the correct size. I ordered the XL Pupsicle and the XL refills so the attached photo shows how the refills actually sit in the product. The image on the website of the Pupsicle shows the refill being firmly against the opening, but that is not the case for the XL toy. I gave it to my dog anyway so she could try it, hoping she would still like the toy. She licked the product for about 5 minutes and then left it. I have provided it to her on multiple occasions since, and she has no desire to play with it. I was hoping that it would be an alternative to chews for her, but it is not.

Disappointed

Really hoped this would provide my senior dog who can’t chew like she used to the ability to focus and relax. Unfortunately, the product does not deliver. Bought both the premade lick balls as well as the rubber molds to freeze liquids etc. The premade rounded treats were frustrating for her and she barely made any progress. The treats that I froze were only slightly better. The main issue was the plastic container did not open or close easily. It was beyond difficult to get it to thread and turn down to the lowest level so that the treat would be pushed up and out the front hole for easy access. Both of us gave up on this. Do not recommend.

My dog loves homemade snacks in this!

I love this treat holder and so does Norma! I bought the refill thing and I really like that I can make healthy, natural snacks for her so easily. I’ve been freezing a mixture of canned pumpkin and low fat yogurt and she LOVES it. The pre-made refill balls that this brand makes also work well and they take much longer for her to eat, which can be a plus. They’re just pricey. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of durability. She’s left a lot of teeth marks and small tears even with supervision.

My dog chews through anything. I bought the extra large toy for my 50 pound lab/spaniel. I hoped for something to keep him preoccupied during fireworks. I also bought the insert treats. I put a bit of peanut butter on one and inserted it into the dispensing toy. He licked at it (couldn't get his teeth into it) chewed on the dispenser, dropped it on the floor, tossed it around the room, slapped it around the floor and clicked it some more. He kept at it for 2 HOURS!! he brought it to me for help and I handed it back to him. Then he dropped it in my husband's lap and gave him the sad-eyed spaniel look. He's a sucker for that dog! He unscrewed it and gave the dog the little disc that was remaining. The dog chewed it quickly and took a nap. I'm really impressed!!

My boss has these for her dogs and I had been thinking about getting these for a long time so when they went BOGO on Black Friday sales I had to do it. I hit a green one and a light blue one. I also got the DIY forms. I do not get any Woof brand refills. For my first batch, I did applesauce, carrot bay food, and zucchini puree in layers. It came out rather cute. These are easy to fill. I expected my boy to get bored and not finish his. He seems to have good security now and has less patience for licking to get something. He chews food off of lick mats instead of licking it. After 10 minutes he walked away and I thought he had gotten bored, but his thing was empty. He didn’t get bored but it didn’t last nearly as long as I expected. Our girl started to roll hers around so I thought she was bored of licking but she was finished too. It didn’t bother my boy’s sensitive chin. One thing to note, this thing is huge but the insert space is not. I saw the large at a store and was concerned it would be too small so I wanted a bigger one. I just wasn’t expecting this to be nearly twice the some of the Large. Oh and the green one comes apart super easy but the blue takes a fight.

This toy definitely works for enrichment. It kept my Scottish Terrier busy for about 40 minutes, which is impressive, and she stayed fully engaged trying to get the treat out. The downside is durability. My dog was able to chew chunks off the lid, so I don’t feel comfortable leaving it down once the treat is gone. I still use it, but I make sure to pick it up as soon as she finishes to avoid chewing. I’d recommend this for light to moderate chewers or for supervised use, but probably not for strong or determined chewers.

I didn't care how many times I need to replace this, it has saved my sanity. I bought the biggest one (and the refill maker) and started filling it with her dry food covered with water and frozen. It keeps her busy for at least 15 minutes for frozen pumpkin, and 25 minutes for the frozen kibble. After a week of feeding almost solely from the dispenser it has lots of tiny tooth indentations, but everything is still intact and working well. Very little mess, though come summertime and ant season it will become an outdoor-only toy I think. But it keeps her entertained and mentally stimulated which keeps her out of my hair while I work!

We bought this one and the standard green colored one, I can’t get the lid off the green one half the time but I’ve never had an issue with the light blue! The rubber feels slightly different and I’ve never put it in the dish washer (not sure if that makes a difference or not for getting the lid off) but love the light blue one!! And it keeps my dog occupied for a good 45 minutes when I put the woof brand treat balls in it.

My puppy loves this Pupsicle. She never got into the leading competitor's treat dispensing ball - it was too awkward for her to carry and hard to get all of the treat out of the ball, which is not actually shaped like a typical ball, but more like a beehive. This pupsicle has a fantastic design. My puppy can easily carry it to her bed, and she happily works on it for 20 minutes - I timed it. I can do 20 minutes of yoga while she's entertained with her pupsicle. Oh, and there is no leftover mushy treat and no mess to clean up afterwards; and, it's made of heavy-duty rubber that she can't destroy. Even though the instructions say that it is dishwasher safe, I plan to just hand wash it so that it doesn't warp. It was a pricey toy, but totally worth it as it seems that she will actually enjoy using it and it will last a very long time.

It boggles my mind that they would sell this without a sample filler in it to see if the animal even likes it. Now you have to spend more money to get something

It boggles my mind that they would sell this without a sample filler in it to see if the animal even likes it. Now you have to spend more money to get something to put in it to find out if your dog will even use it. Honestly I'm probably just going to return it instead of going through all the hassle. If I can't easily find the products to put inside it, then this is more stress than it's worth.
