Relatively easy to assemble if you have some experience with tools, the directions are not for beginners, and you need to be young and thin, (you have to get in it nearly assembled to finish it). Its not for big dogs, there is no support in the middle of the base. I dont see it holding up as our puppy grows, It would be ideal if you have a small dog, less than 30 lbs, that is already crate trained. I cant get Judy to go all the way in to work on training. It only opens in the front, limiting use in my opinion. It does look like furniture, visually its much nicer than the traditional crate. If you have a small dog, that is already comfortable in a crate, and want something that blends in, for the price, this would be ideal.
