    Not my favorite kitty litter

    By FurbabyMamaOf4 on Feb 6, 2021

I have mixed feelings about this litter. I can't say anything bad about it, but I'm not 100% sold on it either. It clumps up well and is easy enough to scoop out but I do feel like my cats make more of a mess tracking it outside of the litter box. I'm not a huge fan of the lotus blossom scent either. It doesn't smell bad, I just prefer unscented kitty litter. I've tried several different brands of litter looking for my favorite and so far Dr Elsey's litter is my favorite. I've tried a few different options in that particular brand also. Only 1 or 2 more kinds to try before I settle on my favorite and autoship it!

    Great for picky cats

By Jamaica on Jan 24, 2021

My cat suffers from urinary tract crystals. Because of this she started peeing outside her box. We treated the crystals, but she continued to occasionally pee outside the box. We learned this was related to if she thought her box was clean enough (i.e. recently peed/pooped in, litter was near end of life). We’ve been using World’s best for her entire 6 years of life. This is the first time we’ve tried the scented litter (free promo bag). We usually use the multi cat because of the clumping and the belief that it controls odor better. Our girl loved the scented litter. I thought it smelled good too. With this litter she was less sensitive to her box having not been cleaned after every use. Good quality litter but it STINKS like old lady!

By Stinky on Jan 19, 2021

I have been generally pleased with World Best brand of cat litter. I decided to try this scented version. Big mistake. I couldn’t stand the thick, musky scent from the beginning. It reminded me of lavender or patchouli incense. I just mixed it with the regular unscented I still had left, hoping to cut back on the smell, and just tolerate it until it ran out. Still stank, and even mixed with unscented, my very unpicky cat refused to use it. Apparently even he thought it stunk, and decided to pee on my hardwood floors in the dining room instead. So I ended up throwing away almost the entire bag, and switched back to the unscented version. Baxter and I, as well as our noses, are much happier!

    World's Worst Litter

By BurgherChick on Jan 14, 2021

I received this litter free as part of a promotion; good thing because I would want a refund if I had paid for it. It smells, and not like anything good. And that's even before it's been used. It's surprisingly dusty, and the clumping action is poor - it clumps, but when you go to scoop it out the clumps break up, leaving you with smaller chunks of pee-laden litter still in the box. My cat has also decided it's not worth braving the smell to go all the way to the back of the box to poop and is rebelling with very atypical out-of-the box pooping behavior. Still debating whether it can be mixed in small portions with my usual litter or if I should just throw the rest of the bag away.

    Worst smelling best cat litter

By TidsJax on Feb 21, 2021

Lotus Flower smelled so bad that my husband thought that cats started peeing outside the box. It’s so pungent, and it’s not pleasant. Don’t get me wrong - this is THE BEST cat litter we’ve ever used, but Lotus Flower has been agonizing. Lavender was decent. Unscented, too. Switching back to that.

    Strong smell!

By Debs on Feb 10, 2021

This stuff worked well, but the smell was awful! Super strong, and pretty much smelled up the whole upstairs of my house. Plus the smell stuck to my cat! Not good for us. Not sure if it was a bad thing, but my crazy cat ate some of it. LOL! If it had been unscented it would have been great! After three days we had to change it out to some other stuff.

    Good, but dusty

By IoraRua on Jan 2, 2021

I received this for free during a recent promotion. I thought I would try it, especially since it states it is safe for septic systems. I decided not to flush it because I have no way of checking if it is true, and if it wasn't, it could be an expensive experiment. I would need to research a bit more. Since I live in a rural area, I could simply compost for my flowers instead since it is corn based and essentially just cellulose. Unfortunately, I won't purchase this in the future. The reason is it is dusty. I have been using a lavender scented clumping clay litter. The fragrance of this litter is fine and my 6 cats do not mind this litter. I didn't notice any tracking from the cats. I received this for free during a recent promotion. I thought I would try it, especially since it states it is safe for septic systems. I was disappointed because I wanted a litter I could keep from the landfill. It may not bother other people, but with allergies, I don't want to inhale the dust. I would recommend this otherwise. It isn't for me. … more

    Absolutely No Way

By AnonCatOwner on Jan 17, 2021

I never buy scented cat litter, but hey, it was free so I thought "why not?" I didn't think the scent was all that bad, but my cats had other ideas. We used to have 5 cats so we still have 5 boxes. My two elderly cats would hardly go in the room with this litter or use the boxes beside it. They wouldn't even step in this box for weeks. Finally one cat used it, but by then, I'd gotten the message. The "used" litter was thrown out and the rest of the bag donated to a shelter. Back to unscented for us!

    Smells horrid

By Niknak on Jan 2, 2021

Admittedly, I’m new to cat ownership. We’ve had a pair of rescue kittens for about 2 months. We started with FreshStep litter and had no complaints. But this bag of World’s Best was offered free with a purchase I was already making so I gave it a try. Disgusting is the only word to describe the smell before my kittens even used it. Then it was disgusting litter smell AND cat poop/urine smell. I would have to immediately scoop their litterbox with this litter. After 3 days of trying to get used to it and scooping nearly continuously, I threw the entire bag away. We’re back to FreshStep and will never try this brand again.

World's Best Multiple Cat Lotus Blossom Clumping Corn Cat Litter

By ttconley on Jan 25, 2021

I just got this litter with my last order. I was looking for something that clumps and something that was low low dust control! So far, so good. I have been mixing this with the usual clay clumping cat litter that I get so that my pets get use to it. I like the product so far. Ill see how it is working when I am using just the Corn Cat litter by itself alone. :-)
