I used the sizing chart and measured my dog to choose an XL coat. Although the coat fit around my dog, there could have been more room around the arm openings. The extra-wide band around her belly limited her mobility because it expanded from just under her armpit. She won't even let me put it back on her because it wasn't comfortable. I wanted the extra-wide band to help protect her belly from the mud and rain that she kicks up as she's walking, but I wish the band were positioned a little further down her belly instead of just under her arm. Disappointed.

Not For Cold Rains

Slicker was easy to put on and my dog seemed comfortable and his bag stayed dry. Three stars because this coat is very lightweight and adds no warmth. Would work
