Description

Anergen is a hypoallergenic canine/feline diet formulated with immune stimulating technology and alternative protein sources to address food allergies/sensitivities. It is created by a veterinarian and owes its popularity solely to veterinary recommendation and word of mouth. For decades Anergen hypoallergenic dog food and cat food has been a remarkable alternative option for companion animals no longer able to tolerate conventional pet food protein sources and ingredients. This improved formulation is designed to take advantage of new processing methods to preserve natural value, and nutritional advances in epigenetics and nutrigenomics. Anergen is higher in protein and fat, and contains a comprehensive spectrum and higher levels of micronutrients/nutraceuticals including prebiotics, probiotics, enzymes, omega-3s, antioxidants and more. Small quantities of fruits and vegetables mimic what may be consumed in the viscera of prey, and contribute important vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other nutrients.

    Finally, a food that works

    By on

After learning of the concerns about grain-free, my vet suggested switching foods. I settled on another food only for my senior dachshund to develop a chicken sensitivity. For several months I tried different foods and she kept having intermittent irritable bowls. Then I realized that even eggs and chicken flavoring are no good. Luckily Chewy has a “chicken-free” search option which led me to this. Since I didn’t recognize the brand, I almost didn’t try it, but I’m so glad I did. For the first time in months my dog finally has nice solid poos and she’s gotten much perkier. I can tell she’s feeling much better. So glad I found this food.

    high in carbs

    By on Top 500 Contributor

we use to use the espigen version for our diabetic cat which was low in carbs.. While looking for a poultry-free food for our poopy cat, i failed to notice till yesterday how high the carbs where in this wyson version.. started feeding this at 1/8th to all of our cats who are not on a special diet and all of them actually do like this for they eat it all, even our kitty who hates most kibbles. However, 37% carbs is just way too high for cats and i already have one diabetic cat (not due to foods or being overweight) to deal with and don’t need others...so decided as much as they all like this food and that it is one of the very few dry foods that don’t have any poultry ingredients in it, we are we use to use the espigen version for our diabetic cat which was low in carbs.. Anyone who thinks 30% protein is low needs to do more research. Fantastic ingredients, low fat, and my golden doodle eats it. I’m sold

    Super happy with this food

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

Everything I have researched on the Wysong food makes me confident that this is the way to go. None of their ingredients are fillers, everything has a purpose. Even down to the 5lb bags to prevent the food from going bad once opened is well-thought-out. The trainer recognized that the pup had new food -she said she could tell that he was energized and coat looked good.

    Fluffy loves Wysong

    By on

I have been battling a allergy problem with my maine coon for several years. I have bought different cat foods and nothing helped. He was a picky eater and it was hard to get him to like anything but I decided with his condition to try Anergen cat food by Wysong. Best thing I ever did for him.. He loves it and so do our other 2 cats. I will keep buying this product until he decided he doesn't like it but that may be awhile as it looks. Thank you Chewy customer service for helping me find this product.I ending up buying 5 more bags.

I like Wysong and my cats and dog usually like everything they have tried. The kitties haven't liked this flavor as much as the others.

    Searching for small kibble

    By on

Older dog having trouble with swallowing. This food is perfect for what we were searching for. We have had all of our fur kids Blue Buffalo Wilderness forever& it's still a great food. we have an old man that cannot swallow very well, cannot swallow bigger pieces very well. And is having a higher enzyme levels. this is perfect along with their canned senior food pricy yes, but worth it. They don't eat as much either.

    Dogs don’t like

    By on

So, this is the first time my dogs have tried the Wysong Anergen (Lamb) formula and they’re not crazy about it. It smells “chemically” to me and my male dog refuses to eat it. I had another type of Wysong food that I opened and they like it much better, (Nurture with quail). I won’t be buying the lamb formula again.

    No Thank You!

    By on

My little terriers turn up their nose at this food. My boy is usually interested in any food! But not the Wysong! A waste of money.

    Great for cats!

    By on

I have 3 cats, 2 with slightly different food needs. 1 can't have chicken products or Salmon oil and the other has intestinal cancer. They are both picky but even my healthy 3rd likes it!
