Please explain what exactly is, "Plasma".

Answer by ChewyApr 20, 2018
Animal plasma is present in all foods that contain meat. The animal plasma included in Wysong diets is porcine in origin. The nutritional advantages of plasma as an added ingredient beyond that which is naturally in meat is partly due to immunologic fractions, including IgG, similar to what is found in the colostrum in breast milk. Plasma also contains haptoglobulin, growth factors, other proteins and peptides, and transferrins. The protein fraction of plasma is highly digestible and plasma also increases digestibility of other ingredients, including fiber.

How much phosphorus?

Answer by ChewySep 27, 2021
This supplement contains 0.30% Phosphorus content on a dry matter basis.

Can I make this up ahead of time and if so how long will it last in the fridge?

Answer by ChewyJan 21, 2022
For kittens and puppies: Mix one part Mother’s Milk with two parts warm water. Use pure water only. Shake or stir thoroughly. For kittens, feed at a daily rate of 1-tablespoon (½ fluid ounces) of formula per 2 ounces (1/8 pound) of body weight. For puppies, feed at a daily rate of 6-tablespoons (3 fluid ounces) per pound of body weight. The daily feeding rate should be divided into equal portions and feedings should be every 3-6 hours. The needs of individual kittens and puppies will vary and the amount fed may need to be increased or decreased. Keep unused formula refrigerated in a tightly closed container. Use mixed formula within 24 hours. Formula may be gently reheated before feeding.

does this have DHA in ingredients for puppies?

Answer by ChewyJun 04, 2021
DHA is naturally occurring in this supplement in the Fish Oil and Algal Oil ingredients.

The product is made with quality ingredients, but it will not dissolve completely, even using warm water and and a shaker and a whisk. That makes the solid ingredients, whatever they are, useless as food and they will block bottle feeding. Tried offering it to an older kitten in a bowl and they won’t touch it. Don’t waste your money on this one.

The powder contains solids that don't dissolve in water, making it nearly impossible to use in a bottle without cutting the whole tip, which is too high flow for newborn kittens. It works ok to feed to the momma cat but useless for bottle feeding without a lot of extra work.

Puppy didn’t like taste

It was hard to mix and while my puppy loved another brand of puppy milk, she refused to eat her food when this was mixed in.

Can't use in bottle

It may be a great quality product but if you can't use it in a bottle for baby animals it kinda defeats it's purpose. It is quite lumpy even after straining lumps

It may be a great quality product but if you can't use it in a bottle for baby animals it kinda defeats it's purpose. It is quite lumpy even after straining lumps out (it plugs up a small bottle/syringe) ...there still are a lot of fibers like flax meal or something that can choke small pets like kittens. But works ok if just adding to ground meat in bowl, for weaning.

Difficult for bottle feeding but adored.

I have two feral street rescues living with me right now. They wouldn't eat any food until I mixed this in. They are are few months old so I normally get this for younger cats, but they are licking it up and like it mixed in food with some water. I took away a star because it is tough to mix and no kitten I have fostered will take it in a bottle.

Great product!

We switched to Wysong Mothers milk from KMR. Right away our babies were happier to eat, coats are nicer, potty is more formed, happier little critters. I love that

We switched to Wysong Mothers milk from KMR. Right away our babies were happier to eat, coats are nicer, potty is more formed, happier little critters. I love that it contains coconut milk, flax, colostrum, fishoils, and many nutrients that babies need for proper growth. And it actually has a taurine content listed.
