Description

It is now widely recognized that modern grain-based diets are deficient in omega-3 fatty acids, particularly the long chain EPA and DHA. It is also now known that this deficiency can result in a wide variety of health maladies. Wild animals could occasionally prey on cold water fish to gain essential fatty acids, but this is not practical for pets. Omega-3 Spectrum Pet allows for pets to get those omega-3 fatty acids in a convenient form. If you are seeking a pleasant tasting and convenient dry form of all the important omega-3's, you will be pleased with Omega-3 Spectrum Pet dog and cat supplements in dry powder form.

Key Benefits
  • Organic, all natural DHA, EPA, ALA Omega-3s supplement for cats and dogs
  • Uses a proprietary and patented method of seed, algae, and fish oil selection and milling to create a unique stable dry form of ALA, EPA, and DHA omega-3's
  • Rich omega-3 content provides anti-inflammatory benefits and dietary fiber
  • Supports both cardiovascular health as well as overall health
  • A great all around supplement for households with both dogs and cats so only one supplement is needed for everyone

Even mixed and hidden in gravy, it is a No

By JameLady on Dec 11, 2020 Top 1000 Contributor

Our senior baby is an expert at foiling our attempts to hide medicines in her food. This was no different. Even well mixed and hidden in gravy, she tasted it and then refused to eat the food. To make her point, she also refused to eat her next meal, despite it not having any of the supplement in it. She stopped trusting us and assumed we were putting it in everything. I had to make her another bowl without any in it. Another strike out.

The product that finally worked for my picky cat!

By AmieS on Jul 12, 2020

This was the 4th product that I tried for my 1 1/2 year old cat and it's the WINNER! She has allergies and has lost belly hair. The vet wanted her on some type of product that had EPA and DHA. I tried 3 other fish oil products that she just refused to eat on anything (treats, food, what have you). I came to the conclusion that she does not like the texture of fish oil itself (her sister on the other hand LOVES it). She does not like this product sprinked on her dry food (she doesn't like anything to mess with her dry food LOL), but she will eat it if I mix it in with wet food or a wet type of treat. It's been 2 weeks and her coat does feel softer; I'll have to give it more time to see if This was the 4th product that I tried for my 1 1/2 year old cat and it's the WINNER! Cats Won't Eat

By Squeeks on Aug 26, 2020

I have two cats that have skin problems so I wanted to try this. They refuse to eat it. It also doesn't work with dry food as it just falls to the bottom and sticks to the bowl. Unable to say whether it works or not since they won't eat it.

Well tolerated by my two older cats!

By PrinceShadow on Jun 21, 2020

Compared to other products I've used for omega 3's, this has been the most successful. My cats eat this no problem. I stir it in with their wet food and it dissolves quickly. Another thing I like about this product is it's well tolerated by both of my cats. They're older guys (one is 15 the other is 9) and neither have had any side effects. They've been on this product for about 3 months now and I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

    Must taste OK

By Roberto on Dec 3, 2019

My 8-year-old 50 lb. mixed breed hound dog gobbles this up when mixed with 1.5 oz cat food pate and a normal dry food feeding. He also likes the no-fish oil version Wysong offers.

This Product DOES Have Animal Omegas

By cpowd on Jun 19, 2019

Reply for catma (2017) - upon reading the ingredients you will notice that sit DOES contain fish oil (animal) and a purified portion of liver (animal). I'm sure your intentions were admirable, but it is misleading and erroneous. Thank you for your efforts in trying to educate.

    Amazing Product

By MartiTC on Apr 10, 2018

Been feeding my 3 cats this product for 2 weeks now. Even my most finicky cat licks her plate clean. I mix this with their favorite high end wet food and they eat every last drop. My one kitty was balding with dry skin at the base of her tail and after only 2 weeks of taking this product her hair is growing back and she I see her skin twitching less often.

    GREAT OMEGA 3!!!

By Peak on Jun 9, 2017

So much easier than dealing with the oil forms of Omega 3. All of the felines, domestic and feral, seem to appreciate this addition sprinkled on their dry food. {This is added to our domestics' dry food daily. The ferals receive this as a treat added to their dry food about once a week.} Thank you Wysong for developing an easier way for our four-legged companions to get this heart and joint healthy supplement!

not the right omega-3 source for cats

By catma on Jul 2, 2017

Bought without reading closely enough. Most of the omega-3 in this product is from plant sources and not suitable for cats. Not going to ask for a refund since it was my error but I would not recommend it for cats. Probably ok for dogs since they're not obligate carnivores but cats need to get their omega-3 from animal sources.

    Great product

By Dory on Nov 22, 2016

This powder mixes up well with my cats' canned food and they have not rejected it, which is a real plus, as cats are so finicky about any change in their food. It's been about 2 weeks since I've been adding it to their food and I can see improvement in their skin and coat already.
