Got this cage for my new cockatiel, its a good size, I like the big door with the lock in the front I can get all my arm in there if I need to. Been two weeks since i have my tiel in there and she seems happy. The base is a good height and I can put a basket on the shelf for all the food and stuff for the tiel Cons are the bottom part of the cage where the pull out tray and bottom grate are at. it has an awkward space, like other people have said food just gets stuck in those spots and is not that easy to clean but really not that dealbreaker for me. Shipping with chewy was superfast and box came undamaged, Instructions are pretty straight forward, I was able to put it together by myself with just a tiny help to prop up sides from my daughter. Once you pop in the cage to base you can’t just remove that easy, pretty sure i’d need to take the bird out to do so. All parts were undamaged and sturdy, i’m happy with my purchase, I just need to add some toys!

Terrible construction
I ordered this for short term stays for my mitred conure. However the welds on many of the bars were broken even before I put it together.

Simply NOT A Well designed Cage!
I needed a smaller home for 2 parakeets (who are usually only caged at night) to stay in comfortably while we move. I cannot imagine keeping even one bird closed
I needed a smaller home for 2 parakeets (who are usually only caged at night) to stay in comfortably while we move. I cannot imagine keeping even one bird closed up in this cage all day! The top cannot be left unfastened to remove and reach in to clean, or the entire cage will fall apart. Almost as an afterthought, the door oddly pivots on a screw attached an inch in from the frame. This makes the opening 2 inches narrower when the door is opened - if it would stay open, which it does not. Once again Chewy to the rescue! They are graciously accepting my return, and of course offered to help me pick out another cage.

The advantages are: Great price Metal (they can't chew through it which makes it durable also) Movable with the wheels. you can move it from one place to another of the house probably if you like shifting stuff. Fairly easy to put together with two people and a little muscle. it has very good platforms Very secure in no worries about my dog and cat since it provides peace of mind.
