I’ve gotten a similar cage from chewy before, this one’s for my cockatiel. Good size and easy build except half of the panels came warped and I had to use pliers to bend it back in place or fit the stand piece in. One of the bars was broken as well. Other than that no problems building it and the wheels make cleaning easy. The last one I bought had doors on each side as well, this one only opens from the front two panels, making it hard to attach perches. My bird loves the new space though.
It's a really nice cage for my conure, she is very happy with it. However she learned how to knock the food bowl off of the sides within a week, and there's no easy way to feed her without food doors. It's definitely worth the amount I paid though, and it hopefully be around for quite a while.
I bought this cage for 2 pied doves. This cage is wonderful for them, with room for them to flap their wings and jump around. The con on this is the instructions. It took longer due to lack of information in the instructions. Also wished there was a door in which I could use for the side of the cage.
I had to buy a large cage for a baby Robin that I raised, that is unable to fly forward. She was very slow to learn to eat as well. Anyway, the cage has pretty sorry instructions on how to put it together, but if I wouldn't have had one part slip out of the bracket unnoticed until I had attached the bolts, it would have only been 15 minutes for me to put this together alone. I love being able to roll it outside and then back inside.
I am very disappointed in this cage. I thought I was re-ordering the one I had bought before from Chewey. The cage I got this time was very cheap compared to the first one. The wire is flimsy and the door latches are horrible. The pull out tray is also cheap quality. The one I have from you before is a lot nicer and also has more doors. I am also a bit disappointed because I did do an online chat last week with one of your representatives telling him that I was not happy with the cage. He said that he would tell his supervisor. I guess he didn't? I have always been very happy with what I have gotten from Chewy, but think you need to know that this bird cage has gone way down in quality. Thank you Anne
The package arrived earlier then expected, in good condition. I was expecting a flimsy cage but it was really a good quality product for this price range. Assembly took less then an hour alone (I'm a woman in my 70s). With eight of the pieces being fairly obvious, sides, fronts with doors, bottom with handle, legs, tray, that leaves only 4 pieces to pay attention to. So take your time to lay them out and the instructions will be sufficient.
Our bird loves his new cage. He has room to stretch his wings.
Very hard to reach the inside of cage because of lack of doorways.
Very happy with this purchase. Birds are happy, able to flap their wings and fly alittle.
Purchased the cage last week and was super excited to get my mochi into a flight cage. I read one of the chewy responses to a question under the product listing and chewy response was that this is a suitable cage for budgies. I purchased with confidence and come to find out that it is in fact NOT suitable to house budgies. The bar spacing is uneven in some areas and it didn’t take long for mochi to figure out that she can escape from some of them. I’m glad I caught her in the act and she is safe but it could have been bad ): Chewy, please update this listing, it is unsafe and could lead to a horrible situation for someone’s baby. Also, I added a block to the bigger spaces for a quick fix but I will, unfortunately need to purchase a new cage soon. Something I just didn’t have the funds for to begin with.
