STRIKE TWO
I purchased a coconut yak chews and a honey yak chews because my 1 year old GSD loves her coconut and honey and she grabbed both and then dropped both and walked away and didn't even want to get anywhere near them. So much for trying to purchase a hard chew that is edible and not just a piece of hard plastic that last 2 days and that I then have to throw away.
Broken chew
One of my large chews was broken in half so my large dog could not enjoy it! Disappointing.
Not for medium sized dogs
Very very hard. My poodle, about 15 pounds gave up on trying to chew on this. Gave it away to a bigger dog. Would not purchase for anything other than a good sized dog.
Her New Favorite!
Both my two basset hounds and my little dachshund love—no CRAZY LOVE—these Honey Yak Chew Dog Treats. I bought one for each dog and the one basset (Rose) hid all but one of them so that she could keep them all for herself. But, dachshunds are also scent hounds and Alexis-Pomme (shown in the photo) found them. What I like about these is they don't shard, last a long time, and have a nice sweet, smoky smell. Best of all, the dogs don't make a mess when they chew these.
This is the real deal.
I've been searching for something my pup can chew on that doesn't stink (like bully sticks) and is long-lasting and doesn't make a mess. This is the product. I tried another Yak Chew from another company and it crumbled and made a mess. This product does not do that. I've had the stick for about 2 weeks and my dog has gone through only a quarter of it. I wouldn't give it to small pups because it's really hard. My boy is 7 months old and sometimes I take it away after 5 - 10 minutes because he really grinds down on it.

Katy and I have been together 5 years this year. She has never been much of a chewer. She rolls on bully stick type chews and has cow hooves that she gnaws on once in awhile. As a result, I wasn't terribly optimistic. This is a game changer! She LOVES this and happily chews on it (with gusto) several times through the day!
Excellent product!
I usually don't like to write reviews, but after trying this product I had to. My puppy LOVES these yak chews. My puppy started teething and needed something to chew on that would last. I tried bully sticks but those only lasted a few hours, where this lasted 2 weeks. Bonus, you're supporting a small, sustainable business too (I recommend checking out their website!) They offer you a free yak chew if you buy 9 and mail them back the packaging
Puppy loves them!
My puppy loves these and they occupy him for a long time. We have had it for a few weeks now and he has barely made a dent. I will definitely be purchasing more. I also like that the ingredients are healthy and these feel a lot safer to give your dog than other chews.
