Elevated food bowl

I used this food dish with our golden retriever. It is very sturdy - I was worried at first that she might knock it over in her enthusiasm for dinner 😂. However it was hefty enough to not topple. The bowl portion was plenty big for her food. I was hopeful that the height would help alleviate neck strain - which it did - but we have also noticed that she burps more now than previously. I am unsure if she just accidentally swallows more air as she eats due to the different height of her bowl or what. So we did decide to change the bowl and use it for our cats instead. The cats seem unimpressed as they refuse to show any emotion 😉

This Cat Bowl in black is not only beautifully designed — sleek, modern, and elegant enough to blend right in with my kitchen — but it’s also been a real help for my almost 17-year-old cat who has arthritis. The gentle tilt and elevated height bring his food up to a comfortable level, so he doesn’t have to crouch or strain his neck and shoulders while eating. I’ve noticed he eats more easily. It’s sturdy, easy to clean (dishwasher safe), and looks like a piece of modern decor instead of a pet accessory. It’s perfect for any cat, but especially older ones who need a little extra comfort.

This bowl has been a game changer for my picky cat. I had low expectations. She used to take a few bites of her canned food and walk away. With this bowl, she’s now finishing her whole meal. I like the fact that I can then remove it promptly to wash. I even put her old bowl down next to this elevated one, and it’s this one she chose to eat from. I haven’t put it in the dishwasher yet, even though it says it’s safe for that.

I purchased them for my two older cats, but was in another room when I heard it break. I have two kittens so one of them might have been the culprit. Mickey would take the food out of the dish and put it on the floor, so he did not like eating out of the raised dish. I guess it is back to plastic and stainless dishes. These are easy to knock over.

I found it to work well with dry and wet food. My only complaint would be it should have a bead of rubberized caulk along the bottom so that it does not slide or make that harsh noise of ceramic dish hitting tile floor.

I’ve bought a lot of other elevated bowls this one is by far the best quality. The bowl is rounded enough to serve wet food but still shallow enough for my Persians to fit their flat faces in. The bottom of the bowl is also great I love that it’s hallow. All the other elevated bowls I have purchased have hold for rubber feet to be placed and they get gross and moldy. This bowl does not have that problem.
Perfect for older small dogs!
Absolutely love this for my small yorkie! She is an older girl with a few teeth and this helped her with eating! I should probably double check to see if it’s safe
