how far is the range to see your dog?

If your are within range of your YIP Smart Tag (approximately 300 feet), Your tag will show as "connected" in the SmartThings app. If your smart tag in not in range of your Samsung Galaxy phone, the tag will go into extended range mode and begin looking for other Galaxy phones to communicate with. As soon as your tag comes within 300 feet of another Galaxy phone, the location of your smart tag will update on your Galaxy phone, in the SmartThings app.

can this tag be hooked to multiple phones?

The YIP Smart Tag can only be paired to one Samsung Galaxy phone. However, you can share location information about your tag with other Samsung Galaxy phones.

What phones/tablets will this work with?

All Samsung Galaxy phones are compatible, except for the following models: Galaxy-A10s, Galaxy-J3-Top, Galaxy-A21, Galaxy-J4, Galaxy-A01, Galaxy-J2-Core, Galaxy-A12, Galaxy-Xcover4, Galaxy-A02, Galaxy-J4-Plus, Galaxy-A22e-5g, Galaxy-M01, Galaxy-A03-Core, Galaxy-Haechi, Tablet-O, Galaxy-J6-Plus and Galaxy-M10. Your Galaxy smartphone must have Android 8.0 or higher and RAM 2.0GB or higher. The YIP Smart Tag is not compatible with other Android based brands, including Google Pixel, Motorola, One Plus, Sony, Xiaomi, Oppo, RealMe and Huawei.

Not active GPS tracking

It registers at homes with wifi. I needed more specific locations as I am surrounded by farms and filled. Pinging the location at the home is not helpful.

Don't Waste Your Money

This rarely works, often doesn't even pair with my dog while she's next to me. It doesn't work if the dog is 300 feet away from a phone, so its probably only best

This rarely works, often doesn't even pair with my dog while she's next to me. It doesn't work if the dog is 300 feet away from a phone, so its probably only best if you live in the city with phones all around. Even then, there are times I can physically see my dog and it will says she's somewhere else or the item is not reachable. Total waste of money and false sense of security.

We clicked "locate now" and never got a notification about updated location. I got the tags for free, so I'm using them. But if I had paid for them I'd be highly pifft off and return them immediately.

If you're looking. For your purse fine if you have a small animal that is strictly indoors and will never get more than a 100 yd away from you.This might be okay

The tags are easy to set up and use. You can easily see on a map the tags general location. I was hoping the app would have a feature that points an arrow from the phone towards the tags to help me track my dogs. But playing a beep lets my dogs know they need to return. My main disappointment has been that the name plate is not very durable. It has only been 3 weeks and the dog names and contact info is already scuffed up and obscured. But these tags work better than a Tile.
