Poorly built door

My friend originally purchased this from chewy and was going to return it because she no longer needed it, she instead needed a different crate. Chewey offered her to donate the crate to someone need. I was not in need wanted monetarily but I was in need of a crate for my girl. So I offered to buy the crate at retail price and allow her to donate the funds to her choice. She chose the local animal shelter to donate food to. When we got home and put the crate together. we thought it was sturdy and well built. Unfortunately my 6-month-old German Shepherd pushed the door open one time and it came directly off the track. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR YOUR LARGE BREEDS I asked chewy if I could return the crate or if there was another solution we could find so that way I could keep dog safe. But they said since I was not the original purchaser they could not help me. I want to warn others that this is not a well-built crate and to not buy because the door slips right off.

I really love this. It's sturdy and heavy. It seems like solid wood. It's a beautiful piece of furniture. It arrived in excellent condition. It was a lot of work to put together but I wouldn't let that stop me from buying it. Only issue I had with it was there was a good sized sticker on the top surface of it. In the right rear corner of the top slab. Why would they put a sticker on the top? It wasn't easy to get off either, and left a tacky residue. I'm afraid to use an adhesive remover that it might damage the finish. You can't tell it was there unless you touch that area and feel the sticky stuff. Aside from that, I'm really happy with this purchase. It looks expensive and modern. Love it. Oh and the dog is happy with it too. The food and water bowls inside are convenient. We have it for a standard poodle and she has enough room to be comfortable.

Exactly as advertised, easy to put together, and looks fantastic! But I wasn’t really thinking about how 24 inches wide isn’t that great for a large Irish setter
