Unsafe for Birds
I've had this cage for a year now and waited to write my review. I noticed one of my bird perches leaning and realized the cage wire broken where the perch was attached
I've had this cage for a year now and waited to write my review. I noticed one of my bird perches leaning and realized the cage wire broken where the perch was attached. I moved the perch to a different location and placed the cuddle bone holder over the broken cage wire to keep the birds safe. However, I noticed tonight that the perch is sagging again...the cage wire has broken once again and I'm over this cage.
Perfect size

There were no instructions included. I have bought and erected many bird cages. Just bought a taller (two story) cage a few months ago; still have instructions
There were no instructions included. I have bought and erected many bird cages. Just bought a taller (two story) cage a few months ago; still have instructions. Able to put this one together and reference other instructions. I am not happy with this cage. The carrier handle is located in a manner that makes it crooked to carry. I also abhor the large gate on the front that swings out. I wanted a loading/landing type gate (swings down so they can land and take off from it) My older cage (same size as this one) has that type of gate. I could only find this loading gate listed for/on smaller sized cages. Also, does not feel secure together. I used 2 bread ties (wire) on each side to attach the cage more securely to the base.

The cage is easy to put together with a pair of pliers to crimp the hooks. There are no instructions. It's plenty big for my two older parakeets who are not very active. The 2 perches provided are 1/2", so I used only one. I had made a smaller diameter perch from a dowel. They like to climb the horizontal bars on the sides of the cage. It's very sturdy and nicer than I expected.
Not Good for Hanging
This is an attractive roomy cage. I needed a cage to hang from a hook and this cage is supposed to either hang or sit on a stand. I really needed to hang this cage
This is an attractive roomy cage. I needed a cage to hang from a hook and this cage is supposed to either hang or sit on a stand. I really needed to hang this cage. Unfortunately where the handle is located the cage will not hand level on a hook out hanger. This was a disappointment. I will recommend this but only if you have a situation that allows you to place it on a stand or table
