This is a great toy for puppies. My puppy loves to follow it around as it moves, and it’s been a fun way to add some easy enrichment to her day. The toy has two modes: the first is a softer, gentler setting where the ball just rolls slowly, which my 12 week-old puppy really enjoyed. The second mode is much more intense. The ball bounces and jumps all over the place and definitely creates a bit of a commotion! A nice feature is the silicone on/off button. You can lift it to access the charging port underneath, and the toy includes a USB-C charging cable. It also has a smart cycle function: it turns off after one minute of inactivity and will start back up for another minute when touched or moved. There is a warning that the ball isn’t meant for aggressive chewers, and I agree. It’s perfect for a puppy or a gentler dog, but definitely not something I’d leave out unsupervised. Overall, I really like this toy if you’re looking for a fun, interactive enrichment option for mellow dogs or young puppies.

At first, it's difficult to pull the ball out of the blue rubber covering but it comes out! It came with a charge already so it was fun for her to not have to wait to play with it. For whatever reason, I didn't realize you could press the button with the clear rubber cover on but my partner quickly pointed this out to me (jeez!). Our dog loves this! We mostly use the bouncing mode and it keeps her entertained for a good 20-25 minutes, or until the battery dies (not really sure how long it lasts yet). My only complaint, and I'm not sure how this could be avoided, is that she pulls the ball out of the rubber covering almost immediately now. So when it bounces, it's a good bit louder. Overall, this was a fun purchase and she loves it!

It's An Alright Toy

Pros: - Rubber around the ball keeps your floors safe from the hard plastic - The hard mode bounces pretty aggressively and should keep your dog from grabbing

Pros: - Rubber around the ball keeps your floors safe from the hard plastic - The hard mode bounces pretty aggressively and should keep your dog from grabbing it and chewing on it, instead encouraging them to engage with it - Works as a regular ball you can roll around and play with even switched off (though you can't throw it) - Good seal on the charging ports, making it safe from drool. Cons: - To charge it, you have to remove the cover completely, giving the potential of losing it - The rubber surrounding the ball can be easily chewed off, especially if you have a chewer. The rubber is similiar to what you find in those JW Pet Hol-ee Roller toys. Imagine that with a hard plastic ball inside of it. - The slow setting is almost unusable. It's way too slow, barely rolls. This makes it too easy for your dog to grab when the point of it is to have your dog chase after it. There is no "middle" setting. It's either really slow or crazy bouncing. With that said, this is not a ball that your dog will be chasing around. It WILL get your dog moving, but it won't have them running around the house after it; it's just not designed for that. - The hard mode just consists of the ball bouncing and is a little too aggresive if you have a nervous/wary dog. Also makes a lot of noise as it bounces on the floor Thoughts: I really do like this ball, which makes this review a bit of a mixed bag. My dogs absolutely had a blast playing with it and does help tire them out. I do wish there was another setting. I would love it if it rolled a lot more/faster and had more random motion to help keep your dog engaged. The slow setting is pretty useless. The higher setting is great, but consists of mostly bouncing and not much else. Dogs may become bored of that. I will say, my dogs LOVED it the first time they played with it, but I was never able to reach that same level of excitement on day two. It's a great toy to let your dog play with and I do recommend it, but just keep in mind of its limitations. If you are looking for something that has multiple settings/modes, I recommend looking into something else. If you want something simple to entertain your dog for a little bit, this would be a great option.

This ball lasts forever, even on one charge! If this ball bounces under the bed, Obi has figured out that he just needs to wait and it will come out somewhere! (When it doesn’t come out, he comes and gets me to get it out.) I also like the fact that it goes dormant if Obi walks away from it, but when Obi decides to go back and play with it, it’s still active. So simple to charge too! Great investment!

Lucy’s birthday ball!
