During Xmas my cats love the bell ornaments on the tree, so when I saw these I had to get them. They jingle just like a real bell and they hard, not soft. They have a little piece on top that you could put string through and make an ornament or string toy with it. I will be putting these away until Xmas and bring them out seasonally as they will probably be more for decorative purposes than play.
