Zeal Canada beef recipe gently air dried dog food is a big hit in my house with my three Great Danes. They are perfect size for training the young one. The two adult Danes are now expecting me to put some on top of their food. I put a few in their dinner bowls, and now when I forget they look at me and refuse to eat until it’s on top. My dogs are very picky and they like zeal. It is very similar to another brand I have bought in the past, except zeal doesn’t cost as much. They are small pieces compared to their food. They are too small to give as treats to my adult male, they fall out of his mouth, but he loves them in his food.

So, since this is dog food and not human food, I'm going to base taste on what my dog, tells me. That said, the dog food looks like small beef jerky pieces & low odor. Also, I believe that the food taste good because my little girl loves this stuff and she is a picky eater (probably more so than her human counterparts). Overall, I'm happy with the quality and think that this is overall good dog food and 'gently' air dried (I think it means slowly because you can actually see the quality, compared to similar type of food). So, I recommend that you at least give this at least a try because of the quality.

I’ve been incredibly impressed with air-dried dog food. It strikes the perfect balance between the convenience of kibble and the nutrition of raw food. The pieces are lightweight, easy to break apart, and have a natural aroma that my dog absolutely loves. What I appreciate most is the ingredient quality—real meat, wholesome veggies, and minimal processing. Because the food is air-dried instead of cooked at high temperatures, it retains more nutrients, and I’ve noticed a real difference in my dog’s energy, coat shine, and digestion. It’s also great for picky eaters. My dog normally turns her nose up at new foods, but she dove right into this one and hasn’t looked back. The fact that it stores easily and doesn’t require refrigeration is a huge bonus for busy days or travel. Overall, this is one of the best feeding upgrades I’ve made. Nutritious, convenient, and highly palatable—definitely worth trying if you want to step up your dog’s diet without the hassle of raw feeding.

I buy Ziwi Peak air dried lamb and tripe to use as a treat or topper for our 4 dogs, weighing 110#, 78#, 44#, and 16#. So when i saw the Zeal at a lower cost, I was excited to try it. All 4 loved the beef variety and preferred it over the lamb/tripe Ziwi but that could have been taste preference of beef over lamb. I will say that the Zeal pieces are bigger/ thicker than the Ziwi and was difficult for our little dog to eat. I had to break it up for him. I preferred the smell of the Ziwi over Zeal but the dogs voted for the Zeal beef!

My dog absolutely loves this food. I prepare his food and this is his evening feeding. Along with homemade food. Definitely can't afford to feed this like a meal

Excellent product! Im highly impressed with the texture and smell of this food. I have a German Shepherd, so I've been using them as food toppers and treats. He absolutely loves these. They are a somewhat crunchy/chewy texture similarto jerky, but not extremely hard. Great for all size dogs (depending on your intention of use) and senior dogs as well, in my opinion. My boy is 4 years 8 months. I wish they would offer a salmon exclusive formula.
