Ingredient Information

Feeding Instructions

Nutrient Dense

Zealandia canned foods contain a base of superfoods from the sea: fresh New Zealand green-lipped mussels (3%) and salmon oil, accompanied by five lamb organs that provide a powerhouse of diverse nutrients like CoQ10 and vitamins A, B, D, E, and K.

Free-Range & Grass-Fed

Zealandia uses beef, lamb, and venison sourced from pasture-raised, free-ranging cattle, sheep, and deer. Beef is a great source of absorbable iron, zinc, and selenium, while venison is a hypoallergenic option that is low in fat and high in protein.

Wild & Sustainable Proteins

Controlling populations of brushtail possums and wallabies is essential to protecting New Zealand ecosystems. These exceptional natural proteins can help nourish your pets, while also helping to protect native New Zealand birds such as the kiwi.

Animal Welfare

New Zealand recognizes animals as sentient beings who must be treated humanely. Zealandia cares deeply for both farm animals and pets, ensuring that livestock enjoy a happy, healthy existence before contributing to better nutrition for dogs and cats.

About Zealandia

Zealandia responsibly sources ethical and sustainable ingredients of the highest quality from the Zealandia ecosystem—the pristine eighth continent of the world. They then craft these into nourishing products that help pets live long and happy lives.

I ordered this brand‘s dog food after using this same brand’s cat food for my cats, who have one million allergies and I have no problems with them and this food. I thought this would be great to give the two dogs sometimes, not as their main food, but as a supplement to their dry food. Don’t get me wrong, they love it. However, I think they would like any canned food. But this food, this food has created, diarrhea, emergency poops in the bed, more diarrhea and accidents on the floor, in the past two weeks then I can even count. If I give anything more than a tiny spoonful to the corgi, we launch into days of diarrhea. My older dog already is having some problems with accidents in the house, and any amount of this food increases that. today was the final straw with an accident in my bed that continued onto the footboard and the floor. I’m contacting chewy either about a refund or a return, or donating the rest of the cans of dog food because while they love it, I just can’t tolerate all of these accidents and liquid stool.

Smells good & fresh pate

I loved the texture and smell of the pate, and had quality ingredients. I gave my dog a doplup of the can. It was appealing to him because it was something new

I loved the texture and smell of the pate, and had quality ingredients. I gave my dog a doplup of the can. It was appealing to him because it was something new. So I would try to give it as a treat. He ate it for two days or so. He is a Chihuahua & Min poodle mix about 11lbs. He is a finicky eater. He stopped responding. He didn't want to eat it anymore. I just think he not use to lamb. His regular food is chicken or sometimes turkey as treat.. I thought by getting chicken can he really like it, but it had lamb in in, don't think he likes lamb. But overall all seemed like a great product, nice pate and smell, big can and size. The ingredients looked real healthy, and I believe lamb supposed be eat on stomach. Wish my dog liked it. Maybe I'll give it a try again later I'm in Chino CA, I would recommend product and chewy. I have only one dog now and 2 kittens and a cat.

Zealandia Chicken pate for Carter works! He had some recent tummy issues and was at the veterinarian hospital he wasn’t eating and was very nauseous. He was given medicine and we were told to feed some boiled chicken which he was not even interested in. The case of Zealandia arrived and I opened the can pleasant smell and it looks good. I gave Carter 2 tablespoons in his dish and he seemed interested, he finally ate it and we waited. He was not sick again and slowly we fed him more. He seemed really excited about eating again and we mixed it with some dry kibble. No stomach issues and we are going on a week of Zealandia. Will have to try some of their other varieties at some point.

Looks Wholesome - Sticks to the Can

The Zealandia chicken pate looked and smelled fine for a canned dog food, although the consistency reminded me of canned cat food, mono-textured. No chicken liver

The Zealandia chicken pate looked and smelled fine for a canned dog food, although the consistency reminded me of canned cat food, mono-textured. No chicken liver smell (thankfully). Pull tab lid was easy to use. My two dogs were ambivalent about the taste, I guess, as they ate the food eventually but not eagerly, a three star rating. They’ve become jaded by human food leftovers and might have enjoyed a Chicken Curry flavor more. My three star rating is based on after-use. The food residue on the can and lid doesn’t come off with rinsing or soaking in soapy water. I ended up cleaning them with paper towels after soaking in order to recycle the cans. I would reluctantly put up with that extra cleaning if the dogs seemed to enjoy the food, but that was not the case.

Meat- lovers dog food

My dog loved this food. I served him one six ounce can a day along with a smaller portion of his regular kibble. He did well using it as a supplement of sorts

My dog loved this food. I served him one six ounce can a day along with a smaller portion of his regular kibble. He did well using it as a supplement of sorts. However, this particular kind (chicken) is meant for toy breeds and small dogs which my 60lb pitmix is not, but only when you consult the feeding guidelines do you realize this. Otherwise it's labeled for adult dogs. With small breeds it recommends up to three cans a day. To feed this exclusively, even for small dogs would be expensive. While I liked the humane farm animal and sustainability claims, I was wary of the no vegetables, no fruits, or grains. It's all meat and mostly organ meats with 9.5 % protein and added vitamins and minerals.

Tried the Zealandia Adult Grain-Free Chicken wet food with my dog recently, and it was a clear win. He’s not super picky, but even so, he seemed extra excited about this one. I usually give it to him in the evening mixed with a bit of his dry food, and he licks the bowl clean every time. The food smells like actual meat—not that overly processed smell some cans have—and it looks like real ingredients too. No upset stomach, no weird reactions, just a happy, tail-wagging dog. I’d definitely get this again.

Picky Eater

My dog is a very very picky eater. He doesn't like treats and he just will not eat. You could give him a filet mignon and he wouldn't eat it. I was very skeptical

Thumbs and paws up!

My 13 year old 41lb rescue absolutely loves it! I feed her kibbles for seniors which needs some toppings for her to eat. Zealandia chicken pate is a great enrichment

My 13 year old 41lb rescue absolutely loves it! I feed her kibbles for seniors which needs some toppings for her to eat. Zealandia chicken pate is a great enrichment to her food - her appetite seemingly increased as well as energy. Also, her stool looks much healthier! Food smells really good and I never seen my dog drooling that much while waiting for food to be served!

Lots of Lamb in Chicken Pate

Label says 95% chicken, but the rest of it is lamb parts with a mention of salmon oil. Cans are the old thick metal so lids are strong but no pop up when you open

Label says 95% chicken, but the rest of it is lamb parts with a mention of salmon oil. Cans are the old thick metal so lids are strong but no pop up when you open it. My 14 year old 100+ lb dog has lived on kibble only his whole life. My vet said it was ok to add a little canned food to his diet just to make it more interesting for him at this stage. He loves it!!
