I have been feeding my two small dogs Zealandia Adult Grain-Free Lamb Pate. One of them is a Cairn terrier (8yrs old). She is very sensitive to grains, so I was happy to see a grain free canned food. They are difficult to find. My other dog is a Maltese (1.5 yr old). They both LOVED this food. I have never fed them lamb before, but they digested this well without any issues. I especially liked the size of the cans. It was a perfect portion for them to share. I noticed that about an hour or so after I fed them, they returned to their bowls and licked them again, hoping to find more. This is the first time I have tried this brand, but I would try it again and recommend it.

First off, I feel like this is a very good product. It is full of whole meats, organs, and vitamins that I believe are good for my dog. Having 2 dogs with protein allergies, this being limited ingredient is great as well. My issue comes with the price and my dog's reaction when presented with the food. The price is reflective of quality and the fact it is imported from New Zealand to the US. However, given the quality and the price, I hoped my dog would REALLY enjoy it. Her reaction was lackluster. She does like it, but no more than any other food we've tried. So given her reaction and the price, I dropped 2 stars. Otherwise, it is a great, limited ingredient food that I would keep in mind if I needed it.

Adding a food or snack item to a dog’s regimen can sometimes be tricky and at first we weren’t sure this product would “go over” well. This is the first lamb product we’ve ever tried but with age, the dogs tastes have gotten pickier but eventually the lamb was very well received and has added a nice change to the dietary plan. I believe this product was a success! I would definitely recommend trying this product to other dog parents, especially if you’re looking to expand your dog’s tastes. We’re looking forward for trying more new things in the future.

This is a brand I wasn't familiar with but anxious for our dog to try. Unfortunately our girl wasn't as eager. She is not a picky eater AT ALL, if anything she's super food motivated! I opened the can and she wouldn't try it, I smeared it on a lick mat and she carried the mat around and then dropped it and proceeded to roll on it like she does when she finds something shall we say....not too appealing in the yard lol. I have never seen her react this way to anything! Needless to say I was super disappointed she didn't like it. We let our older lab mix try it and she absolutely devoured it and in her younger days would have attempted a back flip begging for more! So it's just each dogs preference. This looks to be a very good brand with high quality ingredients and commitment to sustainable and humane farming. That being said we couldn't afford to feed it long-term based on the price.

I mixed it in with some kibble and he ate it right up! It is also a decent portion size. My dog is an older husky Sheppard mix and has no issues with having this food. I will definitely recommend!!!

I was amazed that all three of our dogs seemed to love this from the very first day that they tried it!!! We have 2 older chihuahuas that are missing a few teeth, so the consistency of this dog food is great for them. I did add a small amount of water & made a little gravy for them because this is a pate. Our Irish Doodle enjoyed hers also. (She can be picky). This is a high-end dog food. So excited we got to try it. Reviewing the label was impressed with all the vitamins and minerals included so I will not have to add separately. Also, if you check the label this company seems to be doing positive things such as, Farm Animal Compassion, etc. Will purchase in the future. I will definitely recommend this to others.

I waited a little bit after receiving this to review because I wanted to monitor to see if it gave either of my dog's tummy troubles - it didn't!!! This food is great. I love the ingredients and both of my dogs go crazy for it. My senior pit bull is a diva and can be really particular about what she eats, but hearing this can open gets her so excited for dinner she comes sprinting right in. Will definitely repurchase this to continue using as a kibble topper when this case runs out!
