Ingredient Information

Feeding Instructions

Nutrient Dense

Zealandia canned foods contain a base of superfoods from the sea: fresh New Zealand green-lipped mussels (3%) and salmon oil, accompanied by five lamb organs that provide a powerhouse of diverse nutrients like CoQ10 and vitamins A, B, D, E, and K.

Free-Range & Grass-Fed

Zealandia uses beef, lamb, and venison sourced from pasture-raised, free-ranging cattle, sheep, and deer. Beef is a great source of absorbable iron, zinc, and selenium, while venison is a hypoallergenic option that is low in fat and high in protein.

Wild & Sustainable Proteins

Controlling populations of brushtail possums and wallabies is essential to protecting New Zealand ecosystems. These exceptional natural proteins can help nourish your pets, while also helping to protect native New Zealand birds such as the kiwi.

Animal Welfare

New Zealand recognizes animals as sentient beings who must be treated humanely. Zealandia cares deeply for both farm animals and pets, ensuring that livestock enjoy a happy, healthy existence before contributing to better nutrition for dogs and cats.

About Zealandia

Zealandia responsibly sources ethical and sustainable ingredients of the highest quality from the Zealandia ecosystem—the pristine eighth continent of the world. They then craft these into nourishing products that help pets live long and happy lives.

The first time I used this dog food, it created diarrhea for each of the dogs. Fast forward, and I accidentally received another case via auto ship, so I thought I would just give each dog a spoonful with their regular food and it should be fine. It has been fine for the nine year old corgi, but my near 15-year-old with Cushing’s ended up with horrendous blood, and then bloody diarrhea leaking from his back end, and eventually becoming explosive jelly like diarrhea before I could take him emergently to the vet. And that was with one big spoonful. Be aware this food could create significant G.I. issues with your dog. Fortunately, it looks like we are turning it around in less than 24 hours, but it has cost me several hundred dollars, countless loads of bloody laundry, and lots and lots of time spent cleaning up the floor. This product appears to be a high quality food, but it has wreaked havoc in our household. . Fortunately, it looks like we are turning around in less than 24 hours, but it has cost me several hundred dollars, countless loads bloody poopy laundry, and lots and lots of time spent cleaning up the floor.

The food comes in a convenient can with a pull tab. As soon as I opened the can my dog new she was getting a great meal, she was excited. She now looks forward to her 3 nights a week of the salmon pate. She didn't have any ill issues like she does with some wet foods. I'm pleased with the ingredients that are used are healthy for her I would continue to purchase this food since she likes it so much and I can feel good about giving it to her.

I have very picky dogs, they turn their noses up to just about everything, to say they’re spoiled is an understatement. I have two hundred pound Akitas and one heeler. Although I wouldn’t typically buy small cans or a pate, they usually only eat stew or chicken ☺️ I have been giving them this for lunch, and it’s just right. I also have been feeding our diabetic female Akita some ( she’s on a strict diet) and it hasn’t raised her glucose. I’m not saying this is diabetic safe food but she’s doing fine, it’s a good change up for her. She was getting to where she wouldn’t eat her normal big name brand food. Although this won’t be her everyday food, all my dogs love the fish smell and taste. It seems to have really good ingredients, and sourced locally. And to know it’s full of things they need for gut health is a big plus. My dogs are getting older and they need it now more than ever. I’m grateful we could try this, I hope to continue to feed it. Thanks Chewy!

This is a very nice grain-free pate. My dog is pucky but he enjoys the salmon flavor, and I usually mix half a can with his dry food. I like that it doesn't have a super-strong fishy smell when I open the can, and it's easy to split into two meals' worth of topper for him to eat.

My dog is Jack Russell and Maltese mix and the other is year and half boxer. They generally love wet food. But they sure did not like this product. The texture is like a pate, smooth, it did not have a good smell, but all of the dog food I have smelled does not smell good. We tried mixing it in their dry food and it’s a definite no for both dogs! There isn’t really anything else yo say.

5 Stars – My cat AND dogs are obsessed!

I originally got Zealandia Salmon Pâté thinking it was cat food—my cat devoured it for days and absolutely loved it! Then I looked closer and realized… it’s actually

I originally got Zealandia Salmon Pâté thinking it was cat food—my cat devoured it for days and absolutely loved it! Then I looked closer and realized… it’s actually dog food. Oops! I switched it over to my dogs, and to no surprise, they’re just as obsessed. I’m extremely picky about what my dogs eat, and this pâté totally passed the test. The ingredients are clean, & it smells fresh. Definitely a surprise hit in our house—for all species!

My dog absolutely LOVES this food. I love the high quality ingredients as well as the moderate size cans since we use canned food to supplement and provide his supplements/medication

Amazing product no nasty fish smell

So we have this to Astro as a treat. He loved it. I loved how it didn’t have all the additives and artificial ingredients. Bonus was the smell no gross fish smell

So we have this to Astro as a treat. He loved it. I loved how it didn’t have all the additives and artificial ingredients. Bonus was the smell no gross fish smell like other brands have. We have always been hesitant on can dog food because in the past they would make his stomach upset. But this one did amazing. This is one treat he goes nuts about when he sees the can.

Husky Mix Approved

Tasty salmon flavor has a thicker texture for easily scooping out smaller portions. My two husky mixes look forward to having it used as a topper on their dry kibble

Salmon Zelander canned food

I have a very picky eater. She tried one can of the Zelander dog food and ate all of it. But now she is back to being picky about eating. She will be six years old

I have a very picky eater. She tried one can of the Zelander dog food and ate all of it. But now she is back to being picky about eating. She will be six years old next month and she has stopped eating twice a day. She likes the salmon flavor of this product.
