Too rich for my blood but my boys LOVED it!

Zealandia canned dog food was very appealing to both my dogs. It didn't cause any upset stomachs, stools were solid, dogs were excited to eat and absolutely LOVED

Zealandia canned dog food was very appealing to both my dogs. It didn't cause any upset stomachs, stools were solid, dogs were excited to eat and absolutely LOVED the taste. I did have to purchase slow feeder bowls to slow them down because they wanted to devour it so quickly. I would love to switch to this brand full-time, my only drawback is the cost. It is recommended a 2.5 lb dog have 1 can per day, 5 lb. dog = 2 cans, 10 lbs dogs = 3 cans. I have two large dogs both weighing over 60 lbs each. They need 3.5 cups of food per day = 28 ounces = 4.5 cans, so I would go through 9 cans a day for my two dogs. At a cost of $0.75-$1.00/ounce depending on the protein, my dogs would cost $21-$28 EACH per day to feed. If you have the ability, this is a great product and well worth it. I just can't afford to do so.

My dog absolutely loved this food, which isn’t surprising considering the ingredients. Looking at the first few lines you don’t see any mention of by products or corn. The food is full of whole meats and organs, as well as essential vitamins and minerals. Despite being on the expensive end I am very impressed with the make up this food and feel I’m providing my dog a nutritious meal. She’s also incredibly picky and yet she devours this food in a way I have never seen her do with any other foods. I will continue to buy it and mix it with her other food just due to the expense, but I think it’s worth it to give my dog a healthy meal.

It includes NZ green mussels that support joint and overall health, organ meat, and have an exotic meat choice, wallaby, for critters who have allergies to the domestic meat sources. The serving size is intended for medium to small dogs, but is a great topper for bigger dogs. My dogs love the flavor. It is a bit pricey, but a great option for healthy and clean eating.
