Zealandia Beef Grain-Free Pate Cat Food is a great quality food that is in line with what cats eat in the wild. They are carnivores by nature, meat eaters. My family has a cat sanctuary, and it is important to us that we feed the best quality food we can afford. My general rule of thumb when researching cat food is look at the first 5 ingredients, hopefully most of those ingredients are meat based. With the Zealandia Beef 8 of the 9 top ingredients (one being water for processing wet food) are meat based: beef, lamb liver, lung, green tripe, heart, kidney, plasma, and New Zealand green mussels. This is all of the viscera cats eat in the wild. Most of my cats loved it with a few exceptions which doesn't surprise me given we have very fussy eaters. I wish the food was more in my price range as it's a little pricey, but you are paying for what you get, a 95% meat diet and top-quality ingredients. It also can be stretched as it's a very dense consistency, so I added water to make it a softer consistency (we have mostly older cats with not many teeth). If you can afford this food, I would highly recommend it.

All three of my cats are enjoying their zealandia beef grain free cat food. They are usually fussy but they like this food. It doesn't have any unpleasant smell which I like.

I'm surprised about the lower rating score for this food. I bought the beef and hoki fish--my girls (sisters, cats, 9 y/o) prefer the beef. One cries for food when they're out, the other one comes running when I put food in the dish (which is not typical for her). No issues with vomiting or diarrhea and I did a 100% complete swap out of their foods.
