My cats really love Zealandia Salmon grain-free wet cat food. One of my kitties doesn't normally like wet food, but he devours this food! I feel so good knowing it's made with cruelty free practices and high animal welfare. Being grain-free and without added preservatives and flavorings, I know my kitties at getting high value food. I noticed it's making their coats look better and it supports their digestive health, important because one of my fur kids has constipation issues and eating canned food is important. He loves this food. The cans are easy to open and very cute. It's a little pricey but overall well worth the value.

The salmon flavor was not appetizing for my kitten. He ate some of it the first day, but didn’t seem to appreciate it the same the next day. He hasn’t had much in wet foods yet, but I now know fish flavors aren’t his jam. I think the texture was slightly offputting for him too. It’s a super thick pate. It’s not a smooth/creamy wet food. He really likes the super wet foods. It’s not a bad product, it’s just not for my cat for various reasons so if yours is like mine - it should be skipped.

Our senior kitty is picky when it comes to her wet food. She only likes pates and this food seemed to check all of her boxes. She happily ate her 1/2 of a can every morning and night. The pate itself is pretty solid (not a whole lot of extra moisture), so I did need to mix in a little bit of water to bring it to the consistency that she likes. It does have a strong salmon smell, but not any more than a typical cat food. If I had to find one fault it would be that it has a lot of lamb in it for a food that is marketed as a salmon food.

Our cats are fairly picky when it comes to pate cat food; they generally prefer shreds w/ gravy. However, they seemed to be quite interested in the Zealandia Salmon Pate cat food. The pate was not overly smelly and the cans are generously sized. Our two girls made quick work of the pate and did not leave much behind!

Not sure if it was the pate or the actual smell they did not like. I do have very picky eaters. They barely smelled the food and they did not try it.
