Our ESS, Sallie, is such a softie. And she LOVES soft things to lay her head on. I got this amazing cooling pad from Chewy. The beach has been overcast for the past 4 weeks so we haven’t needed it there yet. Inland, it’s warmer, we’ve been looking for ways to keep Sallie cool and this def beats the heat.

This bed is so adorable! It looks just like a large flip flop and comes with a little stuffed red crab attached to it . The bed feels cool to the touch which is really nice for the hot days. I currently placed it outside in the lanai area so my doggies can hang out. One of my dogs love it and my older dog does not care for it. I found one of my cats lounging on it. It is medium size, not too small .

He will use it on the deck, but I think that more because the deck is hard, and not for the cooling aspect. The bed came with a small stuffed crab attachment, which was an immediate problem. We fought over it, as he can't have stuffed toys, then he thought the whole bed was a toy, and I spent half an hour teaching him not to eat the bed. Bad idea having a toy attached...I cut it off. The bed is for a medium sized dog, my dog weighs 48 lbs, and I thought he was considered medium. He just fits on this bed. Measurements should have been included in the description. I thought that when I ordered it. I do like the material, it seems very easy to keep clean. I think I will use this outside on the deck, because of this.

I put it down where I normally have a little bed to keep him warm in the winter. It had a stuffed crab attached to it which I did not expect. My dog likes to destroy stuffies so he proceeded to chew on it. I cut that part off, which was easily done as it was attached by a string. Then he wanted to chew on the yellow flip flop parts. After some correction he no longer chews on them. Even though the yellow flip flop parts are cute they are rather annoying. My dog has tripped over them as has my husband. I think we would enjoy it more if it didn't have those sticking up. Maybe if it was sewn down into the design so it looked like a flip flop without the parts sticking up it would be a better design. However, it is being used and seems to keep my dog cooler.

The cats like it a lot and have been hanging out on it especially during the hottest part of the day. The sticky nubs on the underside are great to keep it from slipping. Definitely not for chewers as the materials aren’t particularly sturdy. It’s nice and soft but not too thick. The top material definitely feels cool to the touch.
