Questions & Answers

10 Customer Questions

Does their canned food contain BPA, or are the cans BPA free?

Answer by ChewyApr 20, 2019
The only cans that are BPA free are Aluminum. As Zignature cans are not aluminum, they cannot officially say they are BPA Free, however, the lining inside their cans is BPA Free. BPA is a part of the layer that helps bind the coating system to the metal of the can, but it is not in direct contact with the food. The coating system is a highly technical system that is designed to protect the freshness of the product and to ensure that the metal of the can does not rust or otherwise come in contact with the food.

Comes out looking the same as when it went in. My dog takes a very long time to eat his 2 tablespoons of this, so I am guessing he doesn’t really care for it. I maybe should have tried the Kangaroo formula instead. I know from previous experience that Zignature is a good food, but sadly, this formula is not a good fit for this dog.

The recent case that was shipped was dried out. Got into the second can and even with mushing the food with water the dog started throwing it up. Dog has been off for about 12 hours and the dog is still throwing up small parts of it. We've had multiple cases delivered for about a year now and were all fine, until this one.
