Everyone's coffee order I don't know why the expensive reptile thermostats don't work. I've had them not maintain the proper temperature, not maintain the proper day night time difference, they just aren't worth the money. I now use a plant thermometer, same design with the probe, and it's lasted me 2 years with 100% accuracy. Best part is it's a fraction of the price.

For a cheap on-off thermostat, I'm pretty happy with it. It's within 1 degree of my set point. It does audibly click on and off, but it's not too loud. The probe is a little odd. It's best to double check your temps with a laser thermometer, just to be sure.

Pros and cons:

this thermostat is a genius concept! it shuts off when the basking temp gets too high & turns on once it has cooled off some. however, i believe the thermostat reads

this thermostat is a genius concept! it shuts off when the basking temp gets too high & turns on once it has cooled off some. however, i believe the thermostat reads incorrectly as my other thermostats don't read the same. i just ordered a temperature gun to see if it is incorrect or not. i will give another review once i get it and use it! that is my only concern with this product, other than that it is fabulous! highly recommend!

Sensor doesn't work

No matter where I put the sensor, it says 32°F. Temp gun says 82 and the sensor still says 32. I have unplugged and replugged the device with the sensor placed in

No matter where I put the sensor, it says 32°F. Temp gun says 82 and the sensor still says 32. I have unplugged and replugged the device with the sensor placed in a hot spot and STILL says 32. I changed to Celsius and it says 0. Literally no matter what I do the sensor says it is freezing. Stupid. Waste of money.
