Decorative log or hiding spot log with UV indicator hidden on the underside of the log. The box didn’t come with any information or pamphlet even so I had to pull this product back up online to fully understand how to use it. The medium is quite small, probably more the size for a small gecko or baby/juvenile bearded dragon. My 2 year old bearded dragon can’t fully fit into it but it’s still very neat looking in the tank and serves a purpose other than decoration or hiding because of the UV indicator underneath

The large is definitely more of what I'd consider closer to medium-sized, but it's still large enough that our corn snake likes to slither through and curl up in it. Larger critters may find this hide to be a tight fit. The black-light fluorescence accents are a nice touch and match some of the other black-light reactive décor in his tank. It looks like a piece of white birch, which goes well with the "woodsy" theme of our snake's tank. There were no instructions included with mine, so I had to go to the manufacturer's website to find where the sensor was located and the color chart. I'm not sure how useful the UVB sensor is going to be for me since the little dish needs to be removed in order to expose the sensor and our tank set-up is not the most conducive for that. Overall, I don't know that I'll really be using it as a UV sensor, but it is a nice little hide.

Great looking log/hide!!

I'm using this decor for my snake because she can't have too many hiding places. Unfortunately, two days after i received it, i fed her & then she went into blue,

I'm using this decor for my snake because she can't have too many hiding places. Unfortunately, two days after i received it, i fed her & then she went into blue, which means she is going to shed , and that takes about a week and a half. She did enjoy going thru it, I'm pretty sure, can't really tell. I had also just changed her UV bulb, so I'm not able to tell if it works on that perspective, but it's a very nice looking piece and I'll have to wait about a year to be able to tell if it detects the UV is going bad. It does look great in her enclosure & its very naturalistic looking. You'll have to take my word for it because the camera on my phone is broken. 😖
