Ball Python Approved!
This is a very soft, attractive bedding that feels like a soft toilet paper to the touch. I typically keep my two seven year old ball pythons on regular white paper
This is a very soft, attractive bedding that feels like a soft toilet paper to the touch. I typically keep my two seven year old ball pythons on regular white paper towels. They have hides, and don't seem to especially want to burrow, except for sometimes when they're shedding. This bedding is unique because you can mist it for additional humidity, it's totally scent free, you can scoop out soiled sections, and it doesn't break down if it falls in their water (you can just pull it out). I might actually switch to this! My snakes seemed to like it well enough, and it looks great.
BEL Hide & Seek: Expert Mode
I think there's likely nothing wrong with this bedding, however, I do think it's a product better suited for a species other than a ball python for a PRIMARY substrate
I think there's likely nothing wrong with this bedding, however, I do think it's a product better suited for a species other than a ball python for a PRIMARY substrate. However, as a secondary substrate, this is great for a section of an enclosure. It's not the best for my ball python's enclosure only because I prefer to have moisture in the substrate itself, and this is not a bedding that can do that. It's fluffy, less dusty than I expected (even though it said it was dust free, I had my doubts until I opened it up!), but oh my stars, to have a BEL on this bedding is tough times! It's a whole new game of hide and seek. I'd switch to this for part of my enclosure and keep the other portion for something that I can water soak. I would like to know what it's made from. I might be blind and missed it, but I couldn't find a description on the product package itself that says what it is actually made of -- I'd guess it was paper but I think it ought to be written on the packaging somewhere.
Soft Bedding for Snakes or Bearded Dragons
I do really love how this is unscented, reptile friendly and is dust free! While I would not recommend it for bioactive enclosures as I am not certain how it would
I do really love how this is unscented, reptile friendly and is dust free! While I would not recommend it for bioactive enclosures as I am not certain how it would do with moisture, etc - what I ended up doing was creating a small area specifically for this bedding just in case my beardie separate from his bioactive substrate just in case he wanted to lay or dig in it!
Reptile comfort bedding
The snakes can hide in this material and it's super soft and absorbent. I use it in the deli cups when the snakes go to the reptile expos.

Good substrate for burrowing snake
This substrate works well for snakes that like to burrow. I have a rosy boa, and she loves making tunnels in her substrate. This was a good texture, and didn’t leave

Nice artificial substrate, but dusty
Seems to be a nice, clean substrate to utilize for burrowing reptiles. We use it in a hide for our snake. It can be quite dusty which can be of concern for reptile
