In the tangled trees of the rainforest, reptiles and amphibians don't get their water from decorative bowls. With the Spring Cave Reptile Hideout from Zilla, you can simulate your cold-blooded friend's natural environment by providing a source of running water. A large "stick" at the base helps your pet enter the cave, while the blue LED light guides his path—and allows you to see him—when the rest of the room is dark. A rain chamber inside gives your friend access to dripping water, so he can stay hydrated and happy. Amphibians especially love the access to "rain"—and the water helps to raise the humidity in your terrarium! This hideout also includes a removable feeding dish, which sits on top of the cave.

I have had my waterfall since early July. It worked fine till about a month ago. I it started flooding the tank. I finally figured out why, the bottom water reservoir has a crack almost to the bottom. No one has dropped it, I don't understand how it could have happened.
I got this cave for my hermit crab. She loves it because the water doesn’t pool very deep, I find her hanging out in there often. It also is so quiet and aesthetically pleasing in her crabitat. Totally worth the price!
I had this cave in my frog tank for a week. I loved the colors and the atmosphere. It took a while to clean and set up but it looked so cool. My frogs liked to sit on top of it, and they must have went inside it Atleast once as one had pooped in it. When I had taken it apart to clean I realized how unsafe it was for them. I found sharp stalagtites inside that they would easily hit and hurt them and the base where the water runs through was punched up so that it was sharp, when it shouldve been the other way. I decided this is unsafe for my frogs and took it out. May be best for pets with tough skin.
My frogs uses to splash around VIOLENTLY and remove all the water within the dish. After I got this they have a good water dish that they can't splash all the water out of. This also can hold a lot of water and my frogs absolutely love it.
I love the small Zilla Rock Lair. I purchased it a chewy.com and received it very quickly. My husband and I had a weekend trip planned, so my son set these up in his leopard geckos aquarium. He called me the next morning really sad and said that he didn’t put the lid back on the aquarium right and Buddy got out. He was devastated. That was 3 weeks ago tomorrow. We were all so sure that he gotten out of the house. Which made me happy, because I didn’t want him to be food for our cat. Well, my husband woke me up 2 days ago and said, “look what I found.” He was holding up a bowl and I could see Buddy sitting there. I had to ask, “Is he alive?” He said, “yes, but I bet he’s starving.” Tears came to my eyes and I grabbed him up and ran to my sons room. It was 5 am, but I woke Bear up. I said, “hurry Bubba, you’ve got to see this.” He’s 16 and was not happy I woke him up that early, but when he saw who I was holding, a huge smile came across his face. We both started laughing and Dad got a big ‘ol hug. Ok, he got 2 big ‘ol hugs. Buddy was welcomed back and now he’s got a decked out habitat that I’m sure he’ll never want to leave again!!!
I got this "cave" for our green anole through a cashback promotion and our lizard couldn't be happier! The set up was pretty simple and we had it installed in the terrarium in no time. There are little artificial vines that hang down inside the cave where the water runs through that are perfect for her to drink from. The water makes a faint trickling sound as it cycles through and it's actually pretty relaxing to listen to. The light is a really nice touch also as it gives it a cooler atmosphere and makes it easier to see our lizard inside of the cave. It is a little on the bigger side, but it was able to fit nicely in our 10 gallon terrarium without being too bulky. Our lizard loves it so far, and the whole family has enjoyed watching her use it.
This product was a lot bigger than what I was expecting for my gargoyle gecko! I had to move a lot of stuff around his cage to make sure it fit properly. Also, you need to make sure you have a terrarium that allows wires to go through on the top, since this needs to be plugged in to keep the water running. Regardless, once we had it in our gecko was drawn to it. He not only drank the water, but loved climbing the rock. I also like the fact that there is a feeding bowl on top which helped encourage him to Explorer the new surroundings.
This was purchased for my daughter's gecko tank and it turned out to be one of the best add ons that we have put in the tank. First off it is huge, much bigger than I envisioned. It is beautifully constructed and painted to mimick a rainforest environment. It was easy to put together when reading the instructions that are included and it didn't take long. It looks beautiful as is once put together but when you turn on that light it is a gorgeous piece. The water running down the imitation plant is beautiful and the machine is fairly quiet. Our gecko warmed up to it quite quickly and climbed up with no difficulties as I wanted to make sure the connecting branch piece to climb stayed in place. It turned out to be a great sturdy piece that adds to the appearance of our tank.
