Would this work well for a ball python? Does it come with anything for humidity?
Answer by ChewyNov 22, 2017
This product includes a reflective Dome, Day Blue Incandescent Bulb, Screen Cover, Humidity/Temperature Gauge, Heat Mat, Green Terrarium Liner, and a Setup Guide.

Would this be appropriate for two baby red ear slider turtles?
Answer by ChewyApr 23, 2018
Small aquariums are good for young turtles but as red eared sliders mature they will require a tank that can hold well over 100 gallons of water.

Does the kit come with a 10-gallon tank?
Answer by ChewyJan 25, 2018
This Starter Kit does include a 10 gallon glass terrarium.

Is there a possibility then I can use this 10 gallon tank for my bearded dragon? I went to the pet store recently and the gentleman told me that I have an 8 inch bearded dragon. Should I increase gradually and start with this kit or start with a 20 gallon and proceed from there?
Answer by ChewyMar 12, 2018
Baby Bearded Dragons need at least a 20 gallon tank to start.

Desert aquarium!

We have an RV and we will be traveling with our crested gecko - this is perfect size, lightweight ! The light and heat pad are an added bonus!!!!!

Tank is great, but

The tank itself is great. The feet it comes with are cheap and the adhesive doesn’t hold. That pet is easily fixable, but it’d be great if they’d upgrade the size and quality of them for the price point.

Quality Terrarium

Sturdy and seems well built. Comes with all you need to set up a habitat for a reptile besides drinking/ feeding dishes and decor. My son loves it!

Pretty Good Depending on Animal

Overall an okay basic setup. However it really depends on what you wish to put in it. I especially advise researching the creature you plan on putting in it to make sure this setup is adequate. This basic kit is only suitable for certain types of animals. For example it is a very small enclosure.

Regular Degular

I assumed the starter kit would've came with a hideout too but it did not. Shipping was fast and everything was fine except my lid to the terrarium came bent inside the box.

Do not buy!

The only good things I can say about this kit, is that it did come in one piece. I have already had to replace every piece, including the tank. I'll go over it piece by piece. Tank: looked sturdy, sealed well, but last night I found a giant crack under the heat mat which I have had tons of problems with from the get go. Heat mat has a thermostat controller on it, set at 85 degrees. Couldn't even feel it getting warm through the glass. Turned it up to 88 degrees, which put it at 85 degrees in the tank, which was acceptable.. except the glass cracked all the way across the bottom where the heater is stuck. Really? Glass cracked at 88 degrees? (I stress tested another companies tank, and it didn't crack under 130 degree heat), so I was shocked this tank cracked at 88 degree bottom heat that has a thermostat controller on it. Another problem with the heater, you can't move it once it's stuck, so pulling it off the cracked glass now means it's useless so I had to replace the tank AND the heater because heater won't stay stuck to new tank without a ton of tape. (yes heater had enough airflow under it). Screen lid is alright, pretty sturdy, but the clamps are a joke, no way it will keep your reptile inside, so had to buy better clamps. Light socket is off center, so trying to screw the bulb in was way more effort than it should have been. Light does have spring clamps to hold it to the top of the lid, which was the only good thing I can say about it. Over-all this is just a bad set-up, so now I see why it was so cheap. Don't waste your money. it's actually cheaper int he long run to buy each piece individually than a half baked "kit."
