The X-Small measures 14 x 17 x 13 inches with a rise of 6.5 inches and step depth of 8.5 inches. The Small measures 18 x 21 x 15 inches inches with a rise of 5 inches and step depth of 7 inches. The Medium measures 18 x 21 x 18 inches with a rise of 6 inches and step depth of 7 inches. The Large measures 18 x 28 x 22 inches with a rise of 5.5 inches and step depth of 7 inches. The S-Large measures 21 x 28 x 24 inches with a rise of 6 inches and step depth of 7 inches. Measurements are given as length (left to right) x width (front to back) x height.

Can this 2 step model be folded down to be used as one large step while still having the cover in tact?

The steps on this stairs are not designed to be folded down for use as one singular level.

Small dog access to bed

Originally we purchased the Zinus dog stairs in X-Small for our miniature Dachshund. The stairs worked well for our dog to climb to the sofa. Soft, so not jolting, but firm enough to dash up and down the stairs (and he does). However, the x-smalls were not tall enough for our dog to reach the bed, not be any stretch. So I purchased the large stairs and they work perfect to provide our mini dachshund access to our bed. He easily climbs up and down throughout the day and night.

Good Product…Cats won’t use it!

I have two cats who need a little bit of help getting up on the couch/bed/chair. I figured I’d start with one and if they liked it, I would get one or two more. Unfortunately, I overestimated the intelligence level of my cats. They cannot figure out how to use the steps to get onto the couch! One will sit right by the steps, and then jump up onto the couch without using them. The other one won’t go anywhere near it. I tried putting treats on the steps, figuring they would walk up the steps to get the treats…. Nope! But even though I can’t get my cats to use it, it seems like a good product. It was simple enough to put together. Its sturdy and the foam is thick and durable. It’s definitely made for cats or smaller dogs.
