I have a 3 legged cat, he was having trouble getting on our bed. He would claw his way up, sometimes ripping the sheets, sometimes clawing my husband. OUCH! I was afraid this was a waste of money, but it has been great from the first hour. Both cats use the steps, no more problems, happy cat, happy family. Also, because they are foam and plush, if I stub my toes on the steps in the night, no problem.
Purchased for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to get on our Queen sized bed. The 8 month puppy instantly took to climbing the stairs after one treat laced on each step and instictively knew how to get down. Easy to put together and stays put on our wood floor. My only negative is the zipper for the top step was broken but I just folded the stair over as per directions and works fine without it.
The steps are soft material but sturdy foam. You can remove the cover to wash it too. My 2 little fur babies have never used any of the other stairs I got them until now. They love these and use them all the time. It helps my smallest with her arthritis problems getting up and down. If these ever wear out I will buy them again. I wouldn't recommend them for dogs over 30 pounds unless you get the bigger set. I am happy because my fur babies are happy with these stairs.
Our elderly cat has some arthritis issues that make it so he isn't comfortable jumping on things anymore unless he can get his front paws fully on the surface from the floor. These steps have been perfect in giving him the freedom to start getting on the bed again and they don't take up very much room so they don't get in the way for the humans of the house.
I bought this a couple of years ago for my bedroom. I decided to add one more for the couch and placing them side by side I see the one that just arrived is a couple of inches shorter. My dogs managed to climb anyways but it was disappointing
I have an older Pomeranian and recently moved to a very tall bed. Ordered the 5 step stairs and she has no problem going up or down. The steps are very soft and cushioned well, so no slipping - they even hold my 5 yr old granddaughter!
This is a nice set of stairs for a dog that isn't very heavy, I wasn't able to get the top fully zipped but it is functional. I'll look for something more sturdy in the future. Might be better for a dog less than 20 pounds - but so far no problems with the dog that's using it.
I love Chewy; they are fast and well stocked. I ordered this step because my doxie has developed arthritis in her back hips and doesn’t like stair climbing. After I ordered, I read (duh) the reviews that said how dogs avoided the step due to its soft, squishiness. As predicted, my dog would not use them. After thinking about it, I removed the top foam piece that actually comes unattached, and extended the first step with it. A pit several self-stick carpet tiles on it and now my dog will use it! So, it’s not the foam as much as it is the size of the landing of the steps. Given more area, they are less hesitant. It doesn’t look as nice, but it works now. Please let the manufacturer know. For almost $70, I wish it could have been perfect.
These steps are great and sturdy so my dog won’t slip they are perfect fit to my sofa she has about five inches to jump up to my bed but does ok. I had to reward my dog for using them to get her to use them at first she just jumped over them great but nice looking and work great
These stairs seem to be a nice product. I have a rather large cat (18+ lbs) who struggles to get up on the bed; hence the steps. He seems to do well with them and I didn't have to show him how to use them, he figured it out on his own. Smart little fella :). I'd recommend these steps. No moving parts to break. Seem to be of good quality. Softer surface so my cat can get traction when he jumps up. Thumbs up so far.
