Feed Ziwi Peak to your pet on a daily basis using the ration guide above.
Kittens and pregnant or nursing females: Feed approximately double the amount indicated, in 2 - 3 feedings per day. For your pet's health and well - being they should always have access to fresh, clean water.
Sudden changes in diet, including overfeeding, can sometimes result in digestive issues. Always introduce any new food by slowly mixing with your current diet for the first 6-8 days, increasing the amount of Ziwi Peak while decreasing the amount of the other brand.
If I give my pet a Ziwi Peak treat, how much food should I feed?
There is a lot of goodness in every Ziwi Peak treat, so we recommend you modify the amount of Ziwi Peak food at feeding time. Your pet won’t need as much if he or she has had treats, so reduce accordingly. Much as pets love them, Ziwi Peak treats don’t make a complete daily diet. Use them as a premium real-meat treat to occasionally reward your dog or cat’s good behavior.
The Ziwi Difference
Ziwi carefully crafts their food to mirror the whole-prey, meat-rich diet dogs and cats require for a long, happy, healthy life. Their small, dedicated team proudly handcrafts Ziwi in small batches each day. With a passion for pets around the world, they are driven to put the very best of their New Zealand home into every recipe.

Air-Dried Recipes
Ziwi naturally preserves their dry dog and cat food by air-drying it, eliminating the need for artificial preservatives, salts, sugars or glycerines. Their slow, gentle, twin stage air-drying process results in a food that's as nutrient-dense and digestible as a completely raw diet, but safe and clean to handle, and can store for up to 21 months. A little goes a long way, the recipes are so packed with the good stuff your pet needs to thrive, that you can actually feed him less than what you might be used to.

Moist Meal Options
Ziwi has moist dog and cat food recipe options too, Ziwi implements a small batch canning process to deliver high meat and moisture-rich recipes at higher can weights using the same free-range proteins that can be stored for up to three years.
Only the Good Stuff
Made with your pet's health in mind, Ziwi is made with absolutely no grains, corn, wheat, soy, rice, rendered meats, animal meals, meat by-products, cheap filler ingredients, starches like white potatoes and sweet potatoes, ethoxyquin, pea protein, salt, sugar, glycerine, artificial flavors or colors, antibiotics, growth hormones, or ingredients from China. Just pure New Zealand goodness that helps your pet thrive.

Happy Joints, Happy Pets
All Ziwi recipes include 3% New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussels, a natural source of glucosamine and chondroitin which support long-term joint health. The Green-Lipped Mussel may only be found in New Zealand, where it is farmed using ecologically-sustainable practices.
About Ziwi

Great ingredients, my cat is not super excited about it
By Katja31 on Sep 1, 2020
I use this product in my automatic feeder along with a high quality dry food only in the mornings (I don't like to wake up at 5am when my cat does!) and so far so good. It adds flavour that entices my cat to eat dry food which she doesn't really like. My cat definitely prefers the wet ziwi peak to this but she still eats it. The ingredients are great and its awesome to see a 'dry' food with so few carbs!

Both cats did not like this
By twosleepycats on Nov 19, 2020
My cats did not care for this unfortunately. I used this food as treats or a lunch snack, but they wouldn't touch it.

Jury is still out on this one.

I bought a small bag to see if my senior cat would eat it. She loved it, so I bought the large bag, and she won't touch it! I'm confused.

Ziwi Peak Lamb gives solid stool!
By kcbaker on Jan 5, 2020
I have had a rescue Sphynx (Bambino - he’s part munchkin) for the past 6 months and I have been struggling so hard to find the correct food that works well with him. He’s had diarrhea since day one and even had it with the lady he was staying with prior to me and he always felt sick and slept often. I tried several different foods and proteins, I even tried prescription diets from the vets and it helped to some degree, he still had soft stool. Then I stumbled upon Ziwi Peak and figured, why not give this a try! Doesn’t it figure the most pricey cat food is the one that works and he loves the most? I find the price to be the only downfall to this food, but it’s so worth it!! He’s gone from going to the litter box 3 times a day with stinky diarrhea that would clear a room to pooping once a day and it’s finally normal, firm stool. I’m so thankful for Ziwi Peak, it really was a life saver for the both of us. … more

Not my cats favorite
By Lisa on Dec 7, 2019
My cat ate some of this the first few days I fed it to him, but then started to leave the pieces in the bowl. I've only had the bag for a week and he now refuses to even try them. I don't think they could have gone bad so fast? I think this brand is worth a try, the ingredients and care Ziwi peak seem to take in manufacturing the food is absolutely incredible. If your cat likes it I don't think you could find a better food. The pieces of kibble are flat square, about 1/4 inch in width. My cat had no issue eating them, they are hard but he kind of choked them down the same way he does any kibble. I've tried wetting them for him too, but he won't eat them either way.

Cats love these as a treat
By MsChristine on Dec 14, 2019 Top 1000 Contributor
I received a sample of this and my cats were crazy over this! They really treated it like they were a cat treat so I just ordered the largest size of this bag to give as treats because they are such good cats. :)

Best Raw - Dry
By RagdollMommy on Aug 8, 2019
My cats LOVE ziwipeak. I’ve tried them on other brands of freeze dried raw but they love this brand the most. Ziwipeak is air dried. Eyeballing the different brands of raw in dried form, this looks tastier and more appetizing. Now that they’ve started producing the 2.2lb bags, I purchase their products even more. Chewy, has the best price for this food. I shop small and local for my frozen raw cat food, but that shop sells this food for a few more dollars than Chewy does. So I shop Chewy because of the lower price point.

She Liked It
By Yolin on Jul 31, 2019
Pros: She liked this food; as small bites, it was easily for the cats to eat, and it also worked perfectly with my auto-feeder; the bag is well designed with a zip, it helped to keep the food fresh as much as possible. Cons: Ziwi offers a scoop in every bag, which is a waste and not eco-friendly.
