How does this light attach to my fresh water fish aquarium? My tank is 72" long. Can I use 2 lights end to end?

Check to make sure that the light fixture is unplugged before installing on the aquarium. To install using the adjustable sliding rails, adjust the width of the rails to match the width of the aquarium, and securely place the fixture on the frame of the aquarium. Each rail should be extended the same amount, and should not be pulled completely from the aluminum housing. The 13.5 Watt light adjusts to fit aquariums measuring 18-30 inches wide, the 18 Watt light adjusts to fit aquariums measuring 24-36 inches wide, the 27 Watt light adjusts to fit aquariums measuring 36-48 inches wide, and the 36 Watt light adjusts to fit aquariums measuring 48-60 inches wide. They cannot be combined to fit a longer width.

This light will provide your tank or terrarium with UVA which is necessary for plants to grow.

Do you have to use the sound effects when using this? Or is there an option to have the fun light effects without the sound?

Great light - bad instructions!

Ok, the previous reviews weren’t kidding. The instructions for this thing are comically bad. I had to call the customer service line to get the timer function working and they were incredibly helpful. Setting the time and the sunset/sunrise times is pretty straightforward. But what the instructions don’t tell you is that you have to set the daylight and moonlight colors by pressing the button until it flashes once then using the up/down arrows on each color ONLY (not the button for the color itself - that will throw an error code). Once you have the color you want by moving the arrows up and down on each one you can adjust the brightness lower down on the remote by the volume buttons. Then you hit the “set” button and voila! Your day/night settings are in place. The timer only works with the colors - not the preprogrammed sound/color combo buttons. You can use those at any time and to get back to the timer function just hit the “auto” button at any time. Also the transition periods for sunrise and sunset are preset - you can’t adjust the colors on those, just the times. Mine is set for a whitish daylight and then at 8:30 pm it will start to slowly fade to a reddish purple before transitioning to a deep blue for night. It will stay that way until 6 am when it will lighten to a reddish before transitioning to the white daylight. You can’t get it to turn off completely at night but you can set the color to a dim, deep blue. It’s a very nice light once you get it working properly! I hope it lasts!

No sleep schedule

The customization of the light is wonderful being able to change the intensity is a great option and the ramp up for daylight and moon phase is great but why is

The customization of the light is wonderful being able to change the intensity is a great option and the ramp up for daylight and moon phase is great but why is there no sleep schedule it seems like if your going to go to the trouble of doing a ramp up and down for daylight a sleep schedule wouldn't have been that much more to include so I still half to turn it on and off that was really disappointing the only reason I bought this light was for the 24 hr timer and without the sleep schedule it is useless other than that for the price it is an excellent light but still a manual one

Light was difficult to setup as your only indication of a success is a specific type of flashing light. I was getting two flashes & when done a red light which is not explained in the instructions which I found out on day two with red light still on that programming was in a fault. Upon second time programming I finally saw the single flash of light with white light on but not able to get daytime or nightime spectrum adjusted for individual light colors without again getting caught up in red light fault program situation. Going to Auto is another feature that seems to bring on the red light fault condition. I have the light running & appears to work sort of but the programming of this unit is a pain.

Since I turned on this light, my little babies are so active and seem very happy swimming like in nature; and I love the different sound effects because they are so relaxing. I can be hours sitting watching them “play tag” or just sitting next to the tank reading a book. Also the different customizable light settings and timer are a plus. Definitely recommend
