Can I put betta in Immediately

It's recommended to add 10 drops per gallon or 5 milliliters (1 teaspoon) per 10 gallons to your Betta's water.

Leaves the water foggy and Slimy

When I put this into my fishes tank it makes the water foggy. After two days the water became very slimy and when I fed my fish there was a weird slime layer on
