Can I use this for an ant farm?

This substrate is ideal for desert species of insects and reptiles.
Does calcium carbonate sand dissolve in water? Will it hold its structure if damp?

The Calcium carbonate sand does not dissolve in water but we do not recommend using it in an aquatic setup. If you are just worried about a water dish spilling on it or misting it, the sand will keep its shape.
