I have a pleco in my aquarium and I was told he needs driftwood to supplement his diet. Do you know if this is the right wood for that?

Answer by ChewyJul 17, 2019
This decor is a hard African driftwood. It can be used inside an aquarium, but because there's a high amount of tannin in the wood we recommend soaking the decor in water for several days. Otherwise, your aquarium will turn into a brown-like color.

Can this be used for a leopard spotted gekko?

Answer by ChewyMay 11, 2019
This wood decor is suitable for reptiles including lizards, snakes, aquatic turtles, frogs and newts.

Can you specify what is the height rather than just giving the 3 dimensions and not indicating which number is the height, which is the length and which is the width...thanks

Answer by ChewyJun 22, 2020
The dimensions are listed as length by width by height.

Will my crickets be able to crawl up in there and hide?

Answer by ChewyJun 19, 2020
Crickets may be able to get into any gaps or crevasses that are present in the wood.

So big!

These medium sized mopani wood pieces are much bigger than you would expect. Great for a 20gal long or 30gal+. I would recommend the small size for a 5gal or 10gal

Mopani wood is my favorite, so beautiful and sturdy. It doesn't break down like other wood even after you boil it for a while. I do suggest filing down some of the rough edges if you have a betta.

First one was great, but this one was terrible

I bought this product before and got a beautiful piece of driftwood. But this time I received one that looks awful. It is dark, oddly shaped, and has discoloration

I bought this product before and got a beautiful piece of driftwood. But this time I received one that looks awful. It is dark, oddly shaped, and has discoloration. It might even be used before. Not worth the money at all. It looks more like a return or scrap wood. Very disappointed.

Had rocks stuck in the crevices

I really liked the branch, but when I took a closer look, I could see little pebbles stuck in the crevices of the branch.

Great but sharp

I got this to use in my aquarium for my axolotl. I love this driftwood but it is much too sharp for amphibians so I recommend sanding it down smoothly if using for

Huge and beautiful!

This piece of wood was much bigger than I expected for the price. It has so much texture and lots of little holes and hiding spots for my fish and shrimp.

Good

Even though this says it’s for aquariums it looks very nice in my reptiles cage definitely elevates the environment

Love these so much, I can’t stop buying them!

These are a great size and quality for the price! Very affordable, and I love the different shapes. I haven’t been disappointed yet, & it’s fun not knowing exactly

Beautiful piece of wood!

No complaints, really nice piece of wood! With mopani wood you probably want to soak it for awhile to get most of the tannins out. I just started soaking this one

No complaints, really nice piece of wood! With mopani wood you probably want to soak it for awhile to get most of the tannins out. I just started soaking this one today, can’t wait to submerge it in my red eared slider turtle’s tank after it’s been soaked awhile. I’ve seen recommendations to let it soak for around 2 weeks- changing the soaking water everyday- before introducing it to your tank.
