All of these Zuke's minis were my go to treat for my 15 year old chihuahua who has no teeth. They were soft and easily eaten by Oscar. The formula (or production) has changed and they are now very hard. Zuke's told me that all new batches will have the new consistency. I therefore would not recommend these if you're in a similar situation as me.
I tried the freeze dried treats for training my Gingi. They turned to powder in my bag. I got these and not only do they remain intact but Gingi loves them.
I got these because they are the right size to fit in a Furbo (treat dispenser). I also bring them on walks because they’re convenient and don’t need to be broken up into smaller pieces. My dog likes them a lot. They balance out some of the freeze-dried treats, which are somewhat chalky.
Perfect training tool. We are trying to train 3 young Corgis and thses are smsall enouigh for them to eat without choking and they love the taste.
I have a dog that only likes meat flavors and a dog that is allergic to chicken so I need a chicken free meat smelling training treat and this fits the bill. I can dispense without worrying about who is getting what, which matters when doing reinforcement because the ABCs of behavior state that a reward too late is not a reward at all... no time to think which treat am I handing out!
Great brand. I wouldn't get them again from chewy. Last 2 shipments they were stale.
We have a Staffie that is allergic to beef, chicken, peanut, soy and brewer's yeast. Salmon mini Zukes have been our steady training treat. So exciting to have another flavor option!
Our Aussie has a sensitive stomach and we have a tough time finding him treats! These are THE BEST! The are soft, smelly, and perfect for training! Rocket is obsessed with them and he can eat them for a whole training session without any tummy troubles! Pro-tip: store these in an air tight box or ziplock bag. They dry out and harden pretty quickly.
I use these mini Zuke's treats for training and now as incentives for my husky to work her mind doing puzzle games. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone needing a little reward their dog will perform for.
My dogs loves these training treats. Easy to use.
