The door stays open
This didn't come with any directions and it's actually a different brand than what they show on the description. When you step on it the door opens but then it doesn't
This didn't come with any directions and it's actually a different brand than what they show on the description. When you step on it the door opens but then it doesn't close which defeats the purpose of it. I got it so the wild birds would stay out of the chicken feed.

Unfortunately, the treadle doesn’t pop back up often, getting stuck down, and leaving the feeder open. We’ve tried cleaning it out, cleaning the space below the
Unfortunately, the treadle doesn’t pop back up often, getting stuck down, and leaving the feeder open. We’ve tried cleaning it out, cleaning the space below the feeder, and balancing it on top of bricks, but it doesn’t reliably close. We have a huge mouse problem, and need a feeder they can’t access, so this is pointless.

I have a flock of 7 bantams, so littlest setting used. Only problem was that the bolts that controlled the food door were over-tightened and the food door wasn’t closing nor opening well. Used a 5/16 socket to loosen both sides a bit and now it works as it should. Intend to reintroduce it to my flock soon
