Zylina Superior Hen House

I have several issues with this expensive pre-fab coop. While it may look nice and was fairly easy to build, it is made of the cheapest materials that I know will not last through hot summers and snowy winters. None of it is strong or weatherproof. A few of the pieces came spilt already and are very delicate. The description is also highly misleading as this claims to be for 7-8 chickens but I assure you it is not. We have 6 and the roost area where they will sleep is so small and maybe suite for 3 maybe 4 birds at most once full grown. This runs the risk of fight, injury, and poor laying ability. The run is decent but to claim it’s for 7-8 fully grown chickens is a reach. I know how to either buy a second kind of coop and combine them, build something myself to add on to this, or scrap it all together and build something from scratch. I now have two weeks to scramble as the chicks are almost full grown and ready to move outdoors. Unfortunately can not recommend this for anything more the 3-4 chicken. That still doesn’t negate the cheap quality of the wood.
