Be sure to test first (I did so on my parrot's leg) for several days to make sure there is no adverse reaction--err on side of caution. Follow instructions. Do NOT use with other products. I boil water and allow it to cool down until warm. Soak some cotton pads in it and apply/wipe gently before dripping the solution on. I bandage the wound with non-stick pad (Curad has non-adhesive pads that work well for me). Use twice a day as recommended. Pay close attention. I've had impressive, faster than expected results with my parrot. Used Zymox toothpaste on my cat and was worried about slight blood seepage, but it resolved within a day or so. Was addressing some slight gum infection I wasn't aware of. Scheduled a vet appointment. My vet sang the praises of this brand for cats and dogs.
