Featuring full-color photos of each easy-to-follow step in the included index of dog tricks, you and your pooch will soon be mastering such entertaining new tricks as getting a soda from the fridge, putting away the dog toys, and many more!
This step-by-step training guide also gives you a rating for each trick, letting you know the difficulty range and requirements, which helps you to get started quicker and easier. Included troubleshooting and tips dialogue help you to get over common training issues, and the “build-on ideas” sections suggest even more challenging skills to build on what your pup just learned.
A trainer recommended this to me. This book is well written, cute and easy to follow but some of the tricks are now outdated. Stuff like picking up the phone and grabbing the newspaper don't really apply anymore but they're still cute tricks. There's other stuff like climbing a ladder that I'm afraid to teach my dog in case she starts doing it all over the place. Overall I'm maybe only going to work on 15 of these tricks but the book was still worth the buy.
This book is amazing! It tells the necessary steps to teach your dog such tricks. It even gives you troubleshooting tips to handle issues that you and your pup could face during training.
Some tricks are a bit too weird to try, but overall it looks fun!
I love this book! Great tricks and clear direction in it. My doberman already got his Trick Dog Novice and now we are going to work towards the Intermediate Trick Dog now with the help of this new book!
It’s very useful but there are a few training techniques I don’t agree with. Other than that there are a lot of cool trick ideas.
