A Strong Heart Country Stew truly exceeded my expectations! All five of my dogs were drooling from the rich aroma the moment I opened the can. I noticed the texture and appearance of the vegetables when I dished it out into their bowls. Even my pickiest of eaters cleaned their bowls without hesitation. This would be a great addition to any dry food if a dog is struggling to eat. I do, however, disagree with the recommended feeding instructions. The can recommends 1 can per 15lbs of body weight. Although there is a disclaimer indicating that "The amount of Food your dog requires will depend on activity," the 22 once can is more than I would feed any of my 35-75 lbs dogs.

Made is USA, the food was hearty and juicy just how our was a fur babies like it whether we serve it standalone or as a well portioned topper.

I will donate the remainder of the case to the local shelter. I am a little concerned about the quantity recommended to feed my 60lb Doodle, 4 cans feels excessive.

This is a great product and at 22 ounces per fully packed can, I get four servings per can. And my dogs really love it. It is a quality product and I would definitely buy it again. The only reason I deducted one star is because it doesn't come with a pop top can and requires a canopener. I only have a manual canopener and prefer to be spoiled with poptop lids.

The country beef stew is used as a meal supplement for my 2 Shih Tzus, atop their dry food. It has a pleasant odor, peas and carrots that are plentiful, and clunks of "beef" that are easily halved for their small mouths. It easily equals the current brand of "stew" that I am using. The dogs seem to enjoy it and their dishes are licked clean.
