Give your horse’s hooves a lovely luster with Hooflex Therapeutic Horse Hoof Conditioner. This liquid moisture barrier is easy to apply—thanks to an in-cap brush—and strong enough to help treat brittle hooves, too. The antibacterial and anti-fungal formula can be used in both wet and dry conditions and is a perfect extra-something at horse shows.
To Maintain Healthy Hooves: Clean hoof then apply small amount with brush to hoof wall and coronet. Repeat weekly. For added protection, apply to hoof sole and frog to restore and protect breathable moisture balance.
Cracked or Chipped Hooves: Apply two or more times a week to hoof wall and sole until crack or chip grows out. Check for infections that may prevent the crack from growing out. If severe bacteria or fungi are present, consult your veterinarian or farrier.
Is this product supposed to dry? It's not and I'm a bit confused. After an hour, it's still wet. When my mare walks through the grass or mud it comes off. When she walks through the dirt it sticks to the product. Not sure what I'm supposed to expect here??? Thanks!

The Hooflex conditioner should eventually absorb into the hoof, but it does not dry on the hoof per say. We always recommend cleaning or treating the bottom of the hoof before applying the outer hoof wall so you don’t have to hold the hoof after applying Hooflex. If you find there is a lot of product left on the hoof, it's possible that too much was applied at once and in that case it will just naturally wear off as the horse walks, or you can simply wipe off the excess.
is this good for cracked and brittle hooves

In addition to horses, this conditioner can also be used on camels and pigs.
Can this dry out the hoof if applied too much? I applied it every other day right after the farrier visited, missed a few days and now there are 2 chips and a Crack. He is on hoof supplement as well. Usually good barefoot. Just trying to trouble shoot.
