Good food that my picky cats seem to like

I wanted to try a high calorie food for my multiple picky cats. My cats are not kittens but some of them have digestive issues that make it difficult for them to keep weight on, so I need to pick a nutrient dense food. Therefore I often feed kitten food. I tried this food because it is one of the few premium foods still available that contains grain. All this hype about grain being bad for cats - where did this come from? Cats are not humans. Cats need grain. In the wild they eat mice and other rodents. What do the mice and rodents eat? Grain! Cats who do not get enough grain in their diets can develop serious heart issues. So I tried this food. It smells good and fresh and most of my cats like it (I have a few who are strictly Purina Pro Plan guys and gals). The kibbles are small which is nice. The price is high but quality cat food is not cheap and to me it is worth if if the cats will eat it. Bottom line, thumbs up for Acana from this experienced multi cat parent.

Highly recommend

This is a great quality food. My kitten loves it. Some cat foods smell .. kinda bad .. this food barely has a smell at all, which in itself is a testament to it's quality. I am very happy to have found this food.

Kitty Approved

I initially bought this because my kitten, Nacho, was eating Nulo Cat and Kitten when I got him, and I had a hard time sourcing that food reliably. I transitioned him over to Acana because it was so highly rated and less expensive. He loves the stuff. The only downside is that my 20 year old super senior also loves it and tries to eat it every chance she gets. They're both pretty picky, so that's high praise for this kitten kibble.

He loves it!

Just adopted my first kitten (5-6 months old) and I wanted to make sure I was feeding him a healthy, nutritional diet but was also worried about making the switch to a new kibble from what his foster was feeding him. My worries soon vanished because he seems to love this food! He's only been eating it for a few days but he's doing great so far and goes back consistently for more throughout the day. His energy levels and are high and he has consistent bowel movements. Very pleased!

She Loves It

Cats, because they don't drink enough fluids, need wet food. I got this dry food and she likes it, it seems to be a healthy high end choice and I needed some kitten food to help her gain weight. Happy with it so far, just still looking for a healthy grain-free wet food for my girl

My babies love it!

My little tykes, Shooter Jennings and Sheila Rose, absolutely love this food. They're growing at a healthy rate, have great energy, no upset tummies, and have regular movements. I highly recommend this product.

Finally Acana!

So happy chewy started carrying Acana food. Their ingredients are extremely high quality and our foster kittens love this kibble [a tie with Orijen]. We mix it with blue kitten pate + health supplements. My only complaint is the bag size. Need 10-20lb bags please, kitten season is coming.

Good quality, perfect size pieces for kittens

I would say this food is really good but too expensive for long term feeding. I researched and chose this brand for a kitten that wasn't eating much or at all. I like the size of the pieces, it smells good in the bag and my kitten has really come around to eating and it has really helped her fur and eyes and well being. Also it fills her up with a small amount. I would buy this again and recommend to anyone having a problem with getting a kitten to eat.
