I thought this would be a great food for my 2 kittens. High quality ingredients, high protein meat and fish - but they just wouldn't eat it. It's a good food, I've fed Orijen and Acana to previous pets and they loved it and did well on it. Hence the 4 stars. There's just no accounting for taste I guess. We're using it as a topper for our dogs' food. They love it.

I have been feeding this feed an the other Acana kitten kibble to my rescued feral Kitten. He loves them. I mix them together so he doesn’t develop a preference for one. He has thrived on it, and eaten it with gusto from the first day it arrived. I love the tiny, yet very crunchy size and texture.

As soon as I opened the bag, my cats ran to their food bowl - even with their breakfast they already ate this morning. My favorite part is the ingredients - I wanted the best for my kitten who is going to be 1 years old in Jan 2026. I heard a lot of great things about this brand and so far I enjoy the quality and the cats love the smell and taste.

I’ve used First Feast by Acana for my boy’s first year of life. His vet has been super satisfied with his health. The perfect healthy weight, beautiful coat, no hairballs, etc. I was so stressed deciding what to feed him as a kitten, simply because he was my first kitten. Acana First Feast treated my baby so well and I’m extremely happy with the product and would highly recommend to others. My boy is the happiest healthiest crazy kitty.

Our 3 month old kitten is still eating RC babycat dry and wet food. I had a bag of Acana first feast and served him some. My family complained that the food was smelly and the kitten did not eat it at all. I’ll donate it a family member who feeds some strays in her neighborhood. We went back to Royal Canin.

Gabby now tells me when his food dish is empty.

But at 19 lbs. l make him wait a little longer. He’s fed twice a day & he eats every bit of it. So I’m pretty sure he like it a lot.
