Acana Meadowland
By shew on Mar 6, 2021 Top 1000 Contributor
I wish I could give a better review, but my GSD didn't even want to taste this dog food. My previous dog loved the Acana line, but that was the Canadian supply.

Dog wasn’t into this food
By Arcana on Jan 31, 2021
Should have read the Q&A, this food isn’t great for small dogs because the kibble is standard size. My dog is usually into kibble, especially when I first open the bag but she wouldn’t eat this kibble at all.

Acana Meadowland
By MillCreek on Aug 2, 2017
I have two dogs. My lab mix I feed Orijen Regional Red and my dachshund I feed Acana Meadowland and I've noticed a big difference in these foods. Idk if it's just this specific type of Acana but compared to Orijen this food is very hard, like the kibble from NB or TOTW.. you can't break it with your fingers. There is also a HORRIBLE smell to it that Idk how to describe. I still love both Acana and Orijen, but I might just switch my dachshund to Orijen original after this bag only because Orijen seems to be the standard of quality I'm looking for in a kibble dog food.

I have a 5 year old black lab. She was fed with Canadae dry food for aproximately 3 years and did ok. Noticed at times the quality of this food would change from bag to bag sometimes having a rancid fat odor. She would also head for the long grasses and graze from time to time. "stomach upset" We switched her food to Acana Meadowland regional grain free. Slowly adapting her to new food over 14 days. She did great. However every now and then she would still head for the long grass though less frequent. Also noticed that her stool amount was a little bit greater. Her breath is terrible.Strong fish smell which is noticable when you open the bag.She does love the taste and noticed her activity pick I have a 5 year old black lab. I ordered my first bag of Acana Heritage Chicken, opened it and smelled it. What a difference. Food smells so good, I'd eat it. I like that the ingredients are locally sourced. Great product!

Beagles will eat almost anything...

However, I can tell that my little old girl really likes this dog chow. I've never before seen her get excited about meal time. Treats yes, but dry dog chow? It's amazing.

Annoyed with the purchase but Bulldog loves the food
By Jimbo on Aug 2, 2017
Purchased Acana Meadowland in response to a coupon offering 50% off next 3 food orders for prior Orijen customers. Coupon was not honored. Why? They say Acana and 6 other brands are sister companies of Orijen so the offer is refused for all of those brands. Annoyed! Puppy seems to love the new food just as much.
