What size are the kibbles?

The ACANA Meadowlands cat kibble is a disc shape measuring approximately 9.5x3.5mm. Please note that due to natural variation, there may be differences between batches and bags.

The ingredient list says whole apples and pears. Does this include the seeds?

This does include seeds. Whole fruits are a good source of fiber and natural vitamins. They also contain a compound known as cyangogenic glycoside in their seeds. Although this compound can be converted to into cyanide if consumed in large amounts, our diets do not contain large quantities of apples or pears. ACANA has validated through reputable 3rd party laboratories that the amount of apples and pears in ACANA recipes were found to present no health risks.

What is the phosphorus on a dry matter basis and also the protein / fat / carb percentages? Thank you

This formula contains a Phosphorus content 1.20% As Fed, 1.3% Dry Matter, Protein content : 36% As Fed, 40% Dry Matter, Fat content : 18% As Fed, 20% Dry Matter, Carbohydrates content : 22% As Fed, 24% Dry Matter.

What is the ash content and magnesium on a dry matter basis?

In my quest to find the best dry kibble, after the disappointment of Nulo PureVita, I came upon this. First ingredients are all animal protein, which I like. The cats clearly love it too. I put this in treat balls during meals, and the cats always roll them around to get the goods. Good value too, when you consider the ingredients and where they’re sourced from.

She refused to eat it

I’m not sure if it was the way the food was supposed to smell, which was very strong or if we had gotten a bad batch. But our cat wouldn’t go near it.

Perfect for both our cats

We have had our cats (a Norwegian forest & a tabby point Siamese) on this for about 2 years (ish) now and they love it! Never had an issue getting them to eat it
