Tidy Cat Naturally Strong Clumping Clay Multi
Thank goodness for Chewy! This was my go-to cat litter and loved the fact it was unscented and had activated charcoal. I used to be able to buy this at the grocery store, but the cat litter section has been changed almost entirely to the "light" cat litter. I used to joke that "of course it's "light", it's 12lbs less than regular cat litter!" I did "light version" of the Tidy Cat unscented cat litter, which to my surprise does last almost as long as a 20lb container. The one big issue I had with "light" version, is that it "tracks" tremendously, much more than regular cat litter. I have two cats, and my laminate floor would literally be covered by a white dust (see photo). I should mention that there is a 7 ft "runner rug" from the cat litter box to the edge of the kitchen. That ended my "light cat litter" experiment. But I couldn't find the Tidy Cat Naturally Strong litter at any store. Chewy to the rescue! And now I don't have to lug heavy cat litter up the stairs to my loft!
disappointed
I have been using the Tidy Cats Naturally Strong Clumping Clay Multi Cat Litter Unscented for years and was happy with the results...little dust, good clumping and no smell, however, it was in the bags. Now that that product is no longer available, I figured I'd use the plastic jug (though I don't like using plastic!) thinking it was the same except packaging, however...it does NOT work the same - it STINKS, literally...I so wish the other product was still available....just disappointed....
literally no dust
I really like how low dust this litter is. My cat is long haired and everything sticks to her like she’s a feather duster. However, the tracking is pretty awful with this one but I don’t mind as I sweep regularly and have litter mats. It clumps really well if it keep it at 3-4 inches and you definitely have to change it after about ~10 days. That’s pretty standard for unscented litter tho. I really like this one!
So far it's working well
I have 8 cats I've been using The World's best cat litter for years, I have a love hate relationship with that litter, I love the way it scoops but seriously hated the dust from it, it was all over everything even my cats, so I tried the Naturally Strong unscented cat litter so far I'm liking it, you have to keep at least 3 to 4 inches of it in the litter box and it scoops well no hard digging and the litter doesn't turn to dust and breaks down like The World's best litter, I hope it continues to work well for me and my cats.
clumps great - minimal smell and dust
I have been experimenting with different types of litter for the past 2 years and have not been satisfied with any of them. I decided to give this one a try and am so far very happy with it. It clumps well, the smell is so minimal, and so far the dust is minimal as well. 4 stars because I just started using it and am not sure how it will stand up over time.
Way too dusty!!
I bought this litter for a few reasons: 1) supposed to be great odor control, 2)great price and, 3)it came in an easy-pour jug. Has way too much dust!! Does not keep odor under control!! Our smallest kitty is always hacking and coughing after using the litter box. I even have to use a mask when scooping!! Don't waste your money or time.
No Odor Control
This litter seemed to clump well and was easy to scoop because it it very fine particles. BUT, it has NO odor control. I have never smelled our litter box 10 minutes after my cat used it. This was so foul smelling. I was looking for a dead animal in my house. It also tracks horribly.
Great product
I've tried a lot of cat litters and this is by far the best. I never, ever, smell the cat box when I use this litter. Only thing I would change is you used to be able to get it in small bags instead of the big heavy plastic container. The bags were easier to carry and less environmentally damaging. I hope they bring them back sometime soon because the heavy plastic things are a huge pain. Apart from that, a great product.
No smell
I have a sensitive nose and have been looking for a complete odorless litter and i think i found one. There's a bit of tracking and clumping isn't the best i've seen but it is minor issue for me as long as it can cover the cat's pee/poop smell well + litter itself doesnt have any scent!!
Great litter!
No smell whatsoever (great for my cat’s sensitive nose and mine) and minimal tracking. I ordered two but I couldn’t lift the package up! Will have to only order one at a time going forward. This litter has been hard to find elsewhere.
