Give your pooch superior pest protection with the Adams Plus Flea & Tick Collar for Large Dogs. This collar works from head to tail, as the active ingredient rubs from the collar to his fur, and then moves through the oils from hair to hair to cover the entire body. It starts working on contact to immediately kill fleas, eggs, larvae and ticks, and it amazingly continues to work for 7 months of formidable pest protection! Plus, it’s water-resistant, which means it keeps on working even after multiple baths or a swim in the lake or pool.

This collar is intended for use only as an insecticide generator. The collar will begin to kill fleas, ticks, and flea eggs and larvae immediately. Its full protection against harder to kill ticks will be built up within a few days after being placed on the pet. For continuous flea and tick protection under normal conditions replace the collar every 7 months. Under conditions where pets are exposed to severe flea and tick infestations, it may be necessary to replace the collar more frequently.
Yes. Wetting will not impair the collar’s effectiveness or the pet’s protection. If the pet goes swimming or is out in the rain it’s not necessary to remove the collar. It can also be worn with a regular collar.
Sensitivity may occur after using any pesticide product for pets. Some animals may become irritated by any collar if it is applied too tightly. If this occurs, loosen the collar. If irritation continues, remove the collar from the animal. If signs of sensitivity occur, remove the collar and bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If sings continue, consult a veterinarian immediately. Do not use this product on animals simultaneously or within 30 days before or after treatment with or exposure to cholinesterase inhibiting drugs, pesticides, or similar chemicals. However, flea and tick collars may be immediately replaced with new collars.Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, or medicated animals. If used on pregnant or nursing dogs, do not replace collar until the puppies are at least 6 weeks old.
Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

We have been using Adams flea collar for many years with good luck. Our Shih Tzu cannot take the flea drops and had bad reaction. Had to take him to vet and was told many small dogs react to those flea drops. This collar is easy to put on and it stays if you measure it properly. Works for all of the 7 months stated. Would highly recommend.
This product actually burned my dog I had to take him to the vet and he got put on medicine. His skin is just now beginning to heal
Flea collar only worked for two months they say seven I would like a refund and a new collar maybe
I really didn’t care for the collar. Dogs were able to take it off and I had it tight enough. They didn’t work well either. They still scratched
Easy to fit to animals neck. Very good pricing and good value
Doesn’t work
Nope. Do not recommend. Took not even 24 hours to start making my poor baby sick, he's dizzy, has some sway and keeps wanting to lay down. We are watching him closely. Upon taking it off and rinceing the area, he has improved a little. Waiting to see if this will require a vet visit, though not sure what they could do for him. DO NOT RECOMMEND
Glad it wasn't expensive because it doesn't work. Don't waste your money.
Will update after she’s had it on for longer- right now it’s only been two days! But it does not bother her at all, and the scent isn’t too strong. I have “super nose,” but I can only smell it if my head is right next to hers. And I think the scent has gone down a little bit, it doesn’t seem as strong as when I first unrolled it. I will say, I bought the size for a medium dog, which my dog is. And the collar is HUGE haha, I think it could fit a lions neck. But as per the instructions, I just cut off the excess length. I will update as to how well it works with fleas!
I love the Adams flea and tick spray and shampoo. But the collars are JUNK. Pretty sure it attracts more fleas.
