I read one review that said the cans were mostly gelatin and liquid and another review said it had no gelatin. I'm confused. Do these cans have globs of gelatin in them or not? Thanks.

Answer by ChewyMar 19, 2018
The formula should not have a lot of gelatin in it but the juices from the duck.

What parts of the duck are used for this? Is it just duck meat or are there organs/liver included?

Answer by ChewyFeb 08, 2018
This formula is made from the muscle meat of the Duck.

where is the duck sourced from?

Answer by ChewyJan 19, 2018
This recipe is formulated with duck from local farms right here in the United States.

What is the can made of? Does the metal leech into the food as it's cooked into the can?

Answer by ChewyOct 29, 2018

I was recently told that my dog was allergic to chicken and turkeys so I needed to start introducing other proteins, and my vet suggested duck. WhenI opened it, I just thought it smelled terrible, but I didn’t let on. I just put it in the dish, actually tried it on my dogs, and they both looked at me like I was crazy. So now I have almost a full case of this stuff and not exactly what to do with it! Maybe emergency earthquake food!

I gave this 5 stars because it looks like a great product. Once I got it home (Intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding ), Now I was not sure how to use it. So now after a week or two I'm adding it to Roscoe's dinner. I wanted it for his itching, since it's a cooling protein. Made here in the USA too. Hope it works. thanks kc

This food caused my 2 year old French bulldog to suffer from a bout of pancreatitis because of its very high fat content. It was an $800 emergency vet bill and he now has to be on a restrictive diet for the rest of his life. Although it’s “just duck” it comes in a can of at least 50% fat, and no dog should be eating that regularly. It also smells just horrible like all of the other reviews mention. The only plus side was that my dog did enjoy eating it.

spoon contest

My dogs love this food! They have a spoon licking contest over the crumbs. It is a great way to give your dogs a little extra protein.

Unexpected ingredient

The food smells great, however I see that there are bone pieces in the food. This is not acceptable, I do not give my Peis any type of bones, and I don’t understand

so good to the dogs

My dogs LOVE this stuff. My small dog is super super picky and will not eat just anything but she loves this stuff. We even use it to hide their meds. All the cans

My dogs LOVE this stuff. My small dog is super super picky and will not eat just anything but she loves this stuff. We even use it to hide their meds. All the cans were full to the top but you can see the wall of the can. Nonetheless it’s still a lot of food. Our 100lb Shepard mix doesn’t finish a whole can in one sitting.
